In my school, once we reach 3rd year we get to pick our subjects. English and maths are already picked for us, but we get to leave them in 5th year. :D

In 6th year, I think they get to have a free period to do something everyday and they can pick up to 3 subjects or more. (I don't know yet though. I'll find out soon)
