Scientists needed a logical explanation for everything, while the church said you have to accept the fact that there is a power, way, way bigger than you.

BUT, Bernini was with the Illuminati. Note that that was always how they did things, they had people within. Bernini made 4 sculptures in Rome, that were a bit different than the rest. He placed these sculptures in places, that appeared to be random, for someone who wasnt with the illuminati.

Scientists who wanted to join the Illuminati, need to follow this path. At the end of the path, there was The Church of Enlightment. The secret "base" you could say, of the Illuminati.
