Vaulted games

Cubecraft should make a game that rotates every week that has old Cubecraft
gamemodes. This would include games like CTF duels 1v1 and build 'n' buy and even some very old games like line dash and many more.

Every old game
CTF 10v10, Bridges 10v10, CTF 1v1, Line dash, Buy 'n' build, maybe magic and mayhem, and maybe seasonal games like carving chaos, present rush and colony control.

Benefits the player base

This would benefit the player base as many people like myself really liked some of the old games. This would allow people to revisit old games or experience them for the first time.

Benefits Cubecraft

As games come back every week some might gain traction that it didn't have before and they might make that game come back permanently.

damn, colony control that unlocks forgotten memories. it would be cool but like themrspacee said its not practical

This would be fun and would be a great way of CubeCraft displaying past games while not putting too much stress on them for updates. But we do need to remember that these games were vaulted for a reason. Most of them didn't have high enough player counts, meaning that queues were longer and updates to them wouldn't benefit CubeCraft as much as updates for other gamemodes.

While this feature may be very popular at first, I think that it would quickly die away as the same, unupdated games are shown (some being games that were still in Beta when they were removed). Who knows, maybe this is just the thing to give these games attention. But as @TheMrSpacee said, is it worth the extra resources?

in the first place I really like this idea of some gamemodes being playable in something like an archive but there are a few downsides:

Hosting this would need server resources especially since something like Buy and build was still in beta and may not be fully optimized (but idk that for sure)

I don’t think it would be possible to run the games without updating them - there might be some changes to Minecraft that need to be adapted so the games can still run (at least I think so but I don’t really know how CCs servers are built so it’s possible that this is not that big of a problem)

For the seasonal gamemodes like present rush I don’t think that they should be available all year since they are something that might come back in the future. I would not really like something for example christmas-related in the summer - that should better be brought back in the season it belongs to.

Overall I like the core of the idea but I don’t think that it would attract enough players in relation to the resources it needs.
