Well my texture pack also says its for 1.8, but I updated every texture to 1.9. If you updated it and it still says it. Just try to enable your texture pack and look if its working. If it is then you did it right.

Hi, i just made my own texture pack for 1.8 and i updated it to 1.9, What i used to make my texture pack, is called NovaSkin. You can retexture entitys, blocks, items, pretty much everything! Just click on an item and get started! (I recommend save 2 times its buggy sometimes). If you are done...
