So if i have cows that i dont need to complete a quest, i keep em as pets (sorta). But for some reason after a couple minutes they either wont move or wont move up a block and idk if its a bug or what?

I recently got java and just now found out cubecraft was on java but for some reason when i type the code in chat or go to the other server link thing with direct connection it doesnt work? Can someone tell me why if they know bc i dont wanna loose my progress :(
