There are many ways to spend your points. Abilities for example. Kits aren't everything in SkyWars these days. At some point the upgrades for abilities get really, really expensive. You might wanna spend your points on them, they might be useful.

I rarely see people rushing to me. I usually use shortcuts on my keyboard to sort the most important items such as a sword, bow and food. Like people said, rushers don't have many (good) weapons or armor. A grace period would solve your problem, but I think not many people are struggling with...
