If your goal is to get vip 30, then i can agree its smart to buy the things that give most vip XP for what they cost. But ranks give u the option to vote for the gamemode in the game (just the skyblock rank gives u more worlds). Means to buy this has alot more than just vip XP or cool lobby...

Just go to main lobby and then almost straight left (a bit front too i believe). Then you will see a picture in a wall with a room behind it. There you will find an npc which gets you in the beta server if you click it.

As pro winnaar already said, s2 is already released in java. So it shouldnt take Zoo long for the bedrock 1.19 update which will include eggwars season 2. The beta version is already there.
