All Networks Add letters above the eggwars bases - repost

Just a suggestion.

It could be cool to add the letter of each colour above the bases in Eggwars?

I’m not colour blind but I can imagine it’s pretty crap if someone tells u to go to a certain base and you can’t see the colour of that base. But letters would mean they can just look up and see.

I feel it would help a lot of people and would make it a bunch more enjoyable for them.

There would also be an option for you to toggle it on and off so that if you dont want it, you dont have to.

Still don't think it should be above bases, I'd rather it be text by your Hotbar or on the side of your screen telling you what island you are on. Cause not only would a sign look a little out of place there are some maps where there would be no space for it.

However I feel like the air would look really full in some specific maps (especially ones with islands close next to each other) if this suggestion gets implemented, which is why I prefer giving players a compass which can track colour islands, you can right-click on this compass and it'll lead you to another island color.

For example the compass will lead you to the red island, when you right-click on the compass it would lead you to another island. (blue/black/green/etc)

(This will not lead you to a player, only their island.) This would solve the problem for colour blind players who aren't able to find a colours island and will solve the in my opinion too full air.

I feel as though needing a compass to take up one of your hotbar slots just because you're colourblind is a bit unfair but I also still agree that the airspace would be cramped on certain maps, I feel as though there is another third solution somewhere so I'm curious to see some replies.

Yes there would be an option to turn the letters on and off, but this doesn't change the argument of the air being too full because of the letters for blind players, who will probably turn this on.

Take for example the map 'Storm', there are if I am correct 12 teams really close to each other (and a helicopter in the air which needs to get removed for this suggestion). If all of the 12 teams get letters above their island, which are really close to each other, the whole air would be filled with letters.

Yes you can turn it off, but the air would still be too full with all the letters. The option of turning this off doesn't change this.

This is something that people on old suggestions would say as a sort of "checkmate" to adding their suggestions but I don't see it as valid.

If there are complications with adding something then we should look for an alternative first before finalizing on the best one and making it toggle-able, it should be a last resort. (likely off by default as well)

I think having a actual build showing what base it would be would be the best. I know Galaxite has an arrow pointing towards the base that still has a core.

But that is an ENTITY(similar to an item, not a player) and not a build. So I have to be really close the the base before I can even see it so it becomes useless. But I do use it sometimes.

If it was like a build it would seem a lot cooler or useful because you would be able to see it from further

There is also an option for a colorblind on your TV/Monitor though. As well as a color blind texturepacks

What if there is a permanent compass in everyones inventory, where you can select an island color, and it will point towards that island... It wouldnt really be an advantage for anyone, since it simply points towards an island, and not a player!
Yes, this will remove 1 itemslot from your inventory, but cant you miss 1 item slot?

Or even just the color written out at the bottom of the UI on the right, when you look at an island
