Over the new year I have been noticing that we have been having quite a few new faces in game, and on the forums. That being said, there is the issue of new forum users being clueless as to what to do. Hopefully, this will help with some of those unanswered questions, and maybe help you learn something new yourself! This guide will be made of multiple sections, each with their own corresponding subsections. Keeping in mind the character limit of these, I will probably also have to carry this onto an extra post or two. Contents -Important/Handy Links -Commenting on a thread -Posting on profiles -Welcome to the forums! -Reporting Abuse -Reporting Forum Abuse -Editing your profile -Ban/Mute Appeals -Donation Shop -Creating a thread -Private Message/Closing ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Welcome to the Forums By joining these fine forums you have just taken the first step into going deeper into the community. The forums are a great place for conversations outside of MC, making friends, and asking for help. Here on the forums we have multiple sections and their respective subsections. I suggest making an introduction post under the "Media" tab of the forums so that we can all welcome you to the forums and such. Have a question? Look under the Bug Reports/support area to see if someone already answered it before making a post. Editing Your Profile Now that you have joined the forums and seen the general idea behind it, why not customize your profile? Make it shiny and give your profile a sense of originality! You can find your profiles editing area by hitting your name in the top right hand corner of the forums. <--- From the Personal Details page you can enter your location, birthdate (and whether or not to make it public), occupation and more. None of this is required to be shown, so you can toggle it off/on as you may want to. You can also fill out an "About Me" area that summarizes you and lets people know a bit about you. At the Signature area you can add your own personal stamp that will appear to logged in users underneath your posts. Please do keep signatures in accordance to the rules. Don't: Make signatures extremely large, disruptive, rude or offensive. Just use common sense You can implant images, gifs, videos and just plain old text in your signatures. (See link above for help on images) At the Contact Details page you can list any social media sites that you are willing to disclose. This is by no means required, and is purely up to your decision. At the Privacy area you can do things such as disable showing your birthdate, and chose who may see your profile. Creating a Thread Let's say you need to report a player, or ask for help on a bug or issue? This is how you can create a page just like this one that will let the staff/players help or discuss with you. 1. Click on a subsection such as "Bug Reports/Support" 2. Hit the "Post New Thread Box in the top right corner 3. Fill in text in the box that pops up, just like this one Spoiler 4. When you are done, just hit "Create Thread" and your thread should be posted! Commenting On a Thread If you want to comment on a thread you have interest in, just scroll down to the bottom of the page. Click in the empty text box and simply type in your message. When you are done just smash that "Post Reply" button and your post should automagically appear at the bottom of the thread. Reporting Abuse If you were playing on one of our servers and experienced some abuse (Profanity, hacking, profane plots, etc.) try making a report on the player. I cannot stress this part enough though, Provide VALID evidence on reports, or nothing will happen. What is valid evidence though? Hacking: Video is strongly suggested. Screenshots will not work for this Profanity/Spam/Chat stuff: Screenshots will work, but be sure to include at least 2-3 warnings before reporting. Exploitation: Video is strongly suggested for this Advertising: Warning is not needed for this. Just screenshot it then report To actually make a report go to the "Report a Player" section of the forums and post a new thread. Be sure to include; -Offender's IGN -Reason of report -Evidence Once you have all of these taken care of, just post the thread and a member of our staff team will help you with the issue. Be sure to look at the report-based helpful links above. Remember not to comment on a report unless you are directly involved. Ban/Mute Appeals If you broke a rule and got yourself banned/muted you can appeal it on the forums. Simply go to https://appeals.cubecraft.net/ . Be completely honest and admit to your wrongdoing and I can guarantee you, that by doing these simple things the appeal will be considered. I would also recommend you put effort into the ban/mute appeal. Simply saying, "i wuz muted. i dun no why. can u unbaned me?" will not help your efforts at all. If you are not fluent in English, you can go ahead and speak your native language. We have staff members who can translate and understand more than one language. It is better that you speak your native language, then get the completely wrong message due to the horrors of Google Translate. Posting On Profiles People's profiles aren't just for looking at, you can post messages on their profiles as well! To do this simply click on a player's avatar and it will take you to their profile. From there you should see a big old text box in the top middle area of their profile. *Note: It says update your status, due to me seeing my own profile. Status updates are basically posting on your own profile. Simply fill in the box for status updates or posts (Must be under 140 characters long) and hit "Post" and it will appear on the player's profile. You might come across some people's profiles in which you cannot post on. This is because they went to their privacy settings and disabled it or made it followed people only. You can also hit the "Comment" button to comment on a status update or profile post. Reporting Forum Abuse Is a player breaking our forum rules, or just overall harassing you? If it violates the rules you can report them to the staff on the forums without making a report post. Let's say that Tacosbefriends was a naughty person (He isn't in this case ). If a post violated the rules, harassed you, etc. you can select the "Report" button and explain what the reason of the report was. This message is sent to a little inbox for all staff to see, in which they can then deal with it themselves. Store If you enjoy the server enough that you would like to donate for a rank you can do so in the shop on the main menu in the top left area of the webpage. Once you enter it, it will ask you for your in game username. Enter that, and then you can browse the premium ranks/perks that CCG offers. To purchase it hit "buy" then go to "Checkout" in the top right corner. It will ask you to sign into your preferred form of payment and allow you to confirm your order. Questions or concerns? Make a Support post in the Bug Reports/Support area. We understand that it might sound a bit strange for first time donors, but I can assure you that this is 100% safe, myself being a premium. (Kind of ) It can take anywhere from 1 minute, to two hours for the payment to process. I suggest relogging every 15 minutes if you do not have the rank instantly. Please refrain from making a help post until 2 hours have passed. Regardless of what happens I am sure you will get your rank. Patience is key. DO NOT file a chargeback or you WILL be banned and be unable to purchase any other ranks. Private Messages and Closing If you have a concern about something that you would rather share in private, or maybe even just a private message between friends, try the following. 1. Visit the user's profile and go to "Information" 2. Click on the "Start a Conversation" button and fill it out as you would with a normal thread. 3. Hit "Send" to share it. Thanks for joining the forums! Be sure to post any further questions in the comments, or toss me or a staff member/trusted player a private message and we will do our best to assist!
