    Hi!

I decided to make some tutorials on the farms that I'm using on my Skyblock island, so expect some more :p
A while back I built the iron golem farm from @Cleo.82802 which was in the tutorials thread by @Saradabaschi . But, it didn't give me the amount of iron I needed.
So I made a bigger one.

Recently, there was some discussion in that thread whether that design was still working or not.
So I thought: Why not make a tutorial on the iron farm that I'm using?

    Let's go
Before we begin: Make sure there are no other villagers around (about 60 blocks or so).
    1. Start of by making a 20x20 platform 10 blocks up in the air.
    2. Make a 3 high wall around it.
    3. Place a 2 high pillar in the corners, then on each side, place down 6 doors, then a 6 long, 2 high wall, then another 6 doors. Do this all around.
    4. Fill in the space next to the top of the doors (if that makes sense, lol) and make a 2 high wall on top of that. I left out some of the wall in the screenshot, so you can see where the platform has to go.

    Stap1-4.jpg

    5. Now for the villager 'cages', build out 5 blocks and make a 6x5 platform.
    6. Place 2 high walls on top of that and make a ceiling. Make sure you keep an open space in the ceiling for when you're gonna put the villagers in.
    7. Do this on every side.
    8. Torches. A lot of torches. Make sure there is no way that mobs can spawn on top of your farm.

    Stap5-8.jpg

    9. In each corner, place down 4 dirt blocks (or any block that you can break quickly).
    10. Place water down on the side of the 'room', next to the dirt. If you did this correctly, you should end up with a 2x2 dry area in the middle.
    11. Place a water source on the dirt block in the corner.
    12. Remove the dirt which is the closest to the middle.

    Stap9-12.jpg

    13. Now remove the two blocks on the side.
    14. Then remove the last dirt block. If you did this in the correct order, you should see that all the water lines up to the middle.
    15. It should look like this.
    16. Do the exact same thing on the layer below. Place down a lot of torches and 4 dirt blocks in the corners.

    Stap13-16.jpg

    17. Now place down the water like you did in step 10-14.
    18. Once you've done that, you can remove the blocks in the middle, and you're done building this cell.
    19. Build out one block at the bottom of your farm.
    20. Check your y-coordinate while standing on that block, as you can see, mine in 66.

    Stap17-20.jpg

    21. Add 75 to that number, so in my case: 66+75 = 141, so you wanna build up to that y-coordinate.
    22. Make another 20x20 platform next to that block.
    23. Now repeat step 2-18.
    24. I suggest extending that build up pillar from the top of your farm to the ground and placing a ladder on it, so that you can easily climb up, for when for example your villagers despawned.

    Stap21-24.jpg

    25. For the collection area, build down around the 4 block gap in your farm, and come out 1 block to the front.
    26. Place down a double chest with 4 hoppers running in to the chest.
    27. Place down upside down stairs on top of the chest.
    28. Above the hoppers, leave 1 block of air in between, place 4 signs.

    Stap25-28.jpg

    29. Above the chest, build up another 2 blocks.
    30. Place lava on top of the signs.
    31. You could just fill in the rest of the gap above the chest, but I always like to see them fall so I placed iron bars. Mwoehahahaha, uhm, nvm, where were we?
    32. Place 2 villagers in each 'cage' and 1 torch so no zombies spawn inside. Then fill in the ceiling and you're down.

    Stap29-32.jpg

The only downside of this farm is the fact that the villagers despawn every once in a while. I suggest buying a villager spawner so that when they despawn, you can easily place the villagers back with a rail system or something. When you're done with this however, make sure you place your villager spawner at least 60 blocks away from your iron farm.

I hope this helped you and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me, either on the forums or in game.

@RubenoMe what's the minimum distance between both spawn pads horizontally?

If you mean verticaly: 75 blocks from the bottom of the one cell to the bottom of the other cell.
If by horizontally you mean building another one next to this one: 65 blocks between the farms. Sadly, a skyblock island is just too small for that (I tried).

A skyblock island is big enough for this iron farm, yes.
