this here is a little thing about the new pvp logging rule in skyblock. I just think it should be removed because it has been causing many bad things. fights in the chat, people who just play to report loggers and get them banned which I think is cruel. also some of the players I know have really been bugged by this rule. I hope you guys think about this rule and make a decision to remove it or keep it.

OMG i was going to make a thread arguing the exact same thing. Seriously, it's skyblock, NOT factions, NOT kitpvp and NOT assassins.
    2015-01-20_19.01.50.png
Here's a good example. I have screenshotted every time i have seen someone say "logger, pvp logger, omg pvp log reported 360 noscope ban" among other things, and i probably have about 15 screenshots. Skyblock isn't a pvp based game, so why is there a rule about pvp logging if there isn't one about scamming? Scamming causes the same drama, if not more, and yet is left as "a frowned upon act". Please remove this rule, it's spamming the chat and is frustrating to those who actually want to play skyblock for skyblock, and not for pvp.

I don't think the rule should be removed, I just think people should actually bother to report the guy who pvp logs.
Rolling a recording program in the background isn't going to kill you, will it?

There are a lot of people that scream about PvP Loggers and never report them. People feel that by screaming at them that somehow the logger will be punished.
A little idea would just be to make a sign at the pvp area saying,
"Please use a recording program in case of hackers and or PvPLoggers while PvPing. Screaming at alleged rule breakers will do nothing but risk yourself a mute" or something along the lines of that.

How about there is a command that brings you into the PvP area? And the people that PvP log, arn't banned (Wich is harsh), but just don't get access to that command? 0-o

They do get reported, and they do get banned. What's annoying is the uproar that follows the "PvPlog". If the player who was fighting the player that logged is alone, he'll say something similar to what TheSpamuelz did in my screenshot, get annoyed and start offending people. If however they're in a team, the entire team will spam, leading to people arguing and flaming one another in an ongoing war until one or the other is muted.
My point here is that it's skyblock; not pvp. The admins just added the pvp area on to satisfy those who prefer to kill other players instead of building your own island from the ground up, and the pvp arena was never intended to become half the reason that people play skyblock at all. I think there's actually more discussion regarding the PvP arena or these famous "drop parties" that are being hosted in PvP zones than discussion on the skyblock aspect of the server itself and it's starting to frustrate people.

It's like adding pvp to creative; more power to you if you actually play the pvp, but when you start taking it to be a main aspect of the game and start raging over what's supposed to be there for fun, players get upset, arguments start and spam is caused. Plus, you have what YveltalX149 stated above, as players only playing the PvP as a reason to report other players who are breaking the rules. I'm not saying that it's bad to enforce rules on those who are misbehaving, but to play something that was added for the purpose of fun only to enforce rules, that takes the word fun right out of the list of things to describe the PvP arena. If you want serious player vs player action, i'd suggest waiting for the factions reset and starting a clan on there, or better yet, learn your way around the assassinations map and play that instead.

Why is a donator any different than a stone? If a stone would do it, it's still rude?... What, are you rankist?

I haven't played on sb in a while, but I think this should be removed. I can't imagine the spam when someone who is trying EXTREEMLY hard to get mod gets on... "PVP LOGGER!! BANNED REPORTED ENJOY THE BAN!!! Now they should make me a mod because this is my 1/500000000 report where the guy will be banned :D"

Maybe when someone joins skyblock and their in pvp, they should be moved to spawn. And players shouldn't be able to do /spawn or /is home in SB Pvp. To those who "accidentally" fall in SB PvP with good stuff, your fault.

I think pvp logging shouldn't be allowed.

Not removed - that would upset the players that do enjoy pvp. It just shouldn't be breaking the rules to leave the arena.
Perhaps if there was a warp to an area that has a separate chat to the rest of skyblock the issue would be resolved.

Different chats make it complicated to moderate.

If someone is spamming you can screenshot and report it as usual.
