Hello everyone!
I present you the Team Skywars map I've created called Star Wars
Please let me know what you think about the map/name and what you might want to see changed.

Description:

- Amount of players: 12
- Amount of Teams: 6
- Amount of players per team: 2

- Amount chest on starter island: 6
- Amount of chest on the middle island: 9 single chest and 2 double chests

edit 1: ores are on the roof for more PvP room(it is possible because it is in space and there is no gravity2020-05-31_17.20.36.png the amount of everything isn't right yet, but I'll change it later(this is how it will look)
edit 2: this isn't sure yet so let me know your opinion about this:

what do you think is better? 6 islands or 8? at the 8 islands picture I haven't put in the details like shooting and starting cages yet but it is for the placement what better looks and plays. let me know in the comments.

edit 3: furnaces had been replaced with pistons(same texture)

I think this is a really cool map! But I think that the starter islands are not good for PvP, you don't have a flat island to have a good fight. Although I really like the map and hope they add this.

This map looks awesome. The only thing I would change is the location of the ores on the starter islands. I'd put them on the roof so there's more space to PvP.

The aesthetics of the map are great and I like the unique layout.

But.

There is quite a major design flaw. The 2 islands positioned directly behind the millennium falcon would give the teams a big advantage. The blue glass that is trailing behind the falcon is too close. Players from those islands could use a couple of blocks and run to mid much faster than any other teams, thus gaining a gear advantage

But.

The blue glass that is trailing behind the falcon is too close. Players from those islands could use a couple of blocks and run to mid much faster than any other teams, thus gaining a gear advantage
I've made a second design for this, do you like this better?

I love this map but I think that the blue glass behind the middle makes an too big advantage for the teams behind as Simply mentioned.

This looks astonishing! I would like to see it in game! The new sort of map would give an interesting way of playing!

I think this is a really cool map! But I think that the starter islands are not good for PvP, you don't have a flat island to have a good fight. Although I really like the map and hope they add this.

I don't really get the point of this, there are lots of maps where there's (almost) no flat space to pvp on.
A battle at the inside of the island is possible as well so there's no need to at flat spaces to pvp on since there's enough space to pvp on + the main battles will mostly be on mid.

I would remove all (blue) blocks from the engine, it looks good but this causes a difference between the way players on different islands can reach the middle.

Instead I would:
A - Add the red lasers from all TIE Fighters towards the Millennium Falcon.
B - Remove the lasers all together, though I think solution A should work.

P.s. definitly go for the map with 6 islands, it looks better if you ask me, though if you really insist (or any other reasons come along) you could go with 8 islands.


You definitly earned my vote on this map, well done!

I get what you're saying about the trail of the falcon, I've made a version without, I think it looks way worse, but it is better for the fairness of the different teams.

Yeah this map is unique is so many ways, it is your design and others help you to get more out yourself, it nice to see that you already used the tips that people let behind for you.

For me it is a easy yes. Nice job! :D

I’d suggest you to follow Jeroen’s feedback and also, a thing I’d change, is the texturing of the millennium falcon. I’ve looked at some pictures of it to see if it looks like that and yours is a bit too messy, maybe you could try to fix it.

Anyways, as I said before, I really like the idea of the map and also the build looks pretty good. I am usually very judgy on my map submissions’ feedbacks, but I don’t have a lot of things to say to this one, just well done.

thank you for your feedback, but I don't really think it is "too messy" it is a little, but the power of the build is in the fact that I've used differs blocks so it isn't that boring, normally maps have like grass, dirt and all those kind of detail, with using only grey accents I've given the falcon detail by using different grey blocks. but if you can give me an example of what exactly I can do to keep the accents but make it less messy, I would love to hear it. there has been very much thought into the color grey I wanted to use, because by using a lot of slightly different greys, you can make any color you want. here are some better screenshots of walking over the falcon so you can give a better opinion of how it is when you're playing:
