Is there perhaps a Nether quest to make Quartz blocks? Our chests are overflowing but Id rather not turn all that Quartz into blocks if there's a quest ahead.

You need blaze rods to power the brewing stands and even make them. Most people unlock swamp before the nether island, making it impossible for them to complete it.
