    Hey everyone!

So as some of you know, I've recently become a more active member of the forum. The reasoning is because I was one of the many folks who are just over-the-top frustrated with the amount of hacking going on in our games. I went through the process of downloading OBS, and before I knew it, had my first player report created! It went flawlessly. However, over the last few days I've been taking several more videos of hackers and uploading them to Youtube for reports, but I just went back to view some of them to get player names, and after the first 5 seconds in Windows default video player, the video screen goes black the rest of the video! I would like to think it's glitching, and would come out okay once uploaded to Youtube, but I won't know until they are done preparing. Has anyone else had this issue? What can I do to fix it? And yes, the audio is still playing even with the black screen.

    Thanks!

I feel like that isn't the issue. I'm doing a desktop record, and it's actually recording about the first 5 seconds of the video, but during playback, the screen goes black after a few seconds of the video playing!

Maybe try using game capture? What's the problem with using game capture made specifically for capturing games and pretty much guaranteed to work?

For me, I had this problem. To fix it, I lowered down my OBS settings. That seemed to work. The reason why it's happening is your OBS is doing a high encoding error, which basically means, your settings are way to high for your computer to handle.

    Sorry, went to sleep lol

I'll try yalls advice and post results later! I did switch some in game settings to try and reduce lag with OBS running, and it does appear that the issue started after doing that, so it seems like my OBS settings are too far off from my game settings. Thanks!

So I went in, deleted all my scenes and sources, redid them all, and things seem to be working just fine! Hmm!

Glad to hear! If you have any other issues try less obvious/most obvious troubleshooting solutions first then you could try to Google as there's most likely going to be an answer there and if there isn't then you can try making a thread here or on OBS forums.
