I have noticed in Sky Wars that the majority of players do not speak English. In particular I see a lot of Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese (in that order).

At the moment they have no interface to interact with the board, owners or staff. I understand it is difficult to create this interface when you don't personally speak the language (I don't speak any other European language). I think a good start thought would be for CCG to have sub-forums for, and try to find at least one mod for, each of these three languages. Also, the website could use the visitor IP to change the titles of "Home", "Forums", "Donations" and "Members" to each language.

I think this would work better if for anyone who talked in another language, it would automatically transtlate it to english.

I know this is possible with language plugins like on servers when someone says a swear it changes to 'dang' or something.
    just an idea :/

I am not sure how I feel about this idea as it would break the community. But I do really like rhinoscooter1's idea as I would not have to translate every thing.

I agree that something needs to be done about players who speak foreign languages. My biggest pet peeve is when players are swearing in foreign languages. Unless a mod translates every single thing that's said, there's no way they're ever gonna be caught by the current mostly-English staff. If there were a plugin that translates languages automatically, that would be insanely convenient (and an insane amount of work). I doubt such a thing exists unfortunately...

Unfortunately there is no such thing as a "Universal Translator". Google translate does a fair job but it won't translate the bad spelling and abbreviations rife in the chat. What you want doesn't exist - there might be a minecraft plugin that ports google translator (or similar), but I doubt it. It would be more relevant to install it on individual machines anyway - how would CCG know what language you speak?

Well at the moment, there is a big part of the community (non-English speakers) who are completely excluded! It is "broken", as you describe it, already. The only non-English visible on the forum is in the ban appeals section. I would guess that the majority of non-English speaking players don't even know about the forum.

What I am talking about is just making an area for the majority, non-English speaking CCG players to discuss things in the forum.

it's possible, there is a server I used to go on where whenever you said 'lag' it would automatically change lag to 'I love this server *server owner's name*'

Sorry but no. You would have to do this for >100,000 words, never mind that Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese are not just English with words switched.

You'd have to configure literally every foreign word ever to change it to English. Not only will that take forever, but languages use the same word for different meanings.

    Examples:
Yo: An English slang phrase meaning "hi", or meant to draw attention to the person saying it.
    Yo: Spanish for "I"
    • If I said "Yo, what's up?", it would translate to "I, what's up?"

Hay: An English word referring to dried grass that is fed to farm animals.
Hay: A Spanish word meaning "there is" or "there are."
    • If I said "Is anyone selling hay?", it would translate to "Is anyone selling there is?"

Y: English text-based language for "Why"
    Y: Spanish for "and"
    • If I said "y?", it would translate to "and?"

    Soy: Protein derived from soybeans.
    Soy: Spanish for "I am"
    • If I said "I like soy milk", it would translate to "I like I am milk"

This is just for Spanish translations. I can imagine there's a ton of other languages that would get screwed over by this system.

If it translated to English on their screen, that really would not work. People would not even be able to read what they are saying, and if they want to talk to someone else, say there's two Spanish friends talking to each other. Suddenly, their messages appear in this strange language they can't read. This would certainly annoy our vast majority of non-English speaking players.

Simple language settings change would be helpful.

That is true but maybe their would be a common that you could keep it that foreign language or translate it.
