Lightwork or windows movie maker. They are both free and are excellent for video editing! If you buy Sony vegas, you will be wasting $200!

Advice: Don't buy Sony Vegas if you just want to edit hacker reports, but think about it if you want to do YouTube videos and if you're committed.

    Types of editing software:
    1. Sony Vegas (good for complex editing)
    2. Movie maker (good for quick small clips, such as reports)
    3. Premiere pro/after effects (needs training and is mainly for professional use only)
    4. Camtasia (Simple to use and can have some nice features)
    5. Final cut pro (Apple computer needed, and is for professionals and needs training)
    6. iMove (same as final cut pro)

All of the above aren't free, except from number 2. But there are websites on the internet that can "help" you out with obtaining the software packages :D
