I have this idea of making a huge Japanese city full of fun parkour, cool looking buildings, and original map design. The Theme is a Ancient Japanese city. This map is nowhere near completion but I'll be adding screenshots as I go.

Here's what I in-vision the wall of the map to look like.

And here is one of the basic house structures in the map.

It's an interesting idea. No offense, but I don't think the screenshots above are really up to our building standards though.

I agree, but perhaps it'll look better when it's finished? :)

    +1 to this^
Also, i dont think that the builders will take user-submitted maps of such a big scale, as there will be such a big scrutiny, and could perhaps downgrade the build team. :p

It looks good , but why Ancient Japan Assassin Map?
    1 Random capital letters
2 Ancient = Japan , but Japan isn't certainly Ancient, why Japan?
    3 Iluminati confirmed
    4 Where are the assassins?
-You have to build it on the creative server on Cubecraft.

Most people dont know but Japan is one of the oldest nations around the planet where it has been formed, dating all the way back from 660 BC, this being roughly over 2,670 years before we came into this, thus where Ancient Japan came from.

Is it true is has to be built on CubeCraft? If so I'm not doing that lol. I'll do it if I can do it on my private server, and I'll make sure to post screenshots for originality

Builds don't need to be on the creative server, they can be on single player worlds.

Back to the thread: I don't want to discourage you, but assassins is probably not a game you should make maps for. Even if the map ends up pretty well made, new maps for games like assassins or kit-pvp are usually disliked. That's why they have such few maps. The map itself has too little done to be judged in my opinion. Just make sure you make sure it isnt too flat and it involves the parkour and hidden places to farm for currency.
    P.S.
In the future don't tag so many random members and staff members, some of them aren't builders and one isn't even active on this server :p

I like the idea a lot, though not loving the build itself, too blank and requieres a lot more detail.

Jokes and a childish behavior have their time, but sometimes we should take some things seriously, especially when someone is looking for help.

The tree doesn't look too natural (I would use more blocks for leaves), the pillar like structure (not sure what it's called) needs to be worked on, it was pretty poorly made, I usually like to add some blocks and stairs to my pillars to make them stand out. Here are some decent examples of mine:

    UPDATE!

So I did some work today, and I've developed some pretty sweet looking house designs. Not only do these houses look really cool, but involve a lot of parkour to access as well. I hope you like these screenshots!

    Another Update!

I worked today. A LOT. Here's what I've come up with.

This server consists of a lot of shorter and taller houses. The taller houses will generally have better stuff. These houses will also be VERY dangerous to camp. They will have many entrances, and be very high. High enough to kill without crouching. I have went through and looked everything over to where it has a good flow, and you can get to places very smoothly. I think this small cluster of houses looks very cool, personally. And this is JUST the start. I have very good ideas for the temple, the shops, and much more. Please stay updated for the most recent, coolest content. B)

I like your theme, but a lot should be changed:
    • Make the houses look less similair, also try to use other blocks
    • Your block pallete is a bit weird in my opinion, maybe try to use other combinations
    • The houses are a bit simple, maybe add a lot more of detail.
    • Don't make things repetitious, as you've done at the corners of the towers (Wood, fence, wood, fence, wood, fence)
    • More block variation in the streets.
