Do you think that there should be at least one game per map?

  • Yes! Please!

  • Noooooo! I don't care if there is none of my favorite maps available

  • Don't care. Works either way.

This wouldn't actually require any more servers to be running, all it will require is more lobbies (when I say lobbies I mean the one with multiple parkours comprised of snow) only exception to this is if games don't fill up properly and every single one is 2/3 full thus meaning that more servers would have to run smaller games or if a higher percentage of people picked smaller maps such as forest, then 12 people will be in each server as opposed to maybe 40 in teaparty, I'm no rocket scientist but smaller lobbies with less people in then take less resources. But hey what do I know. Both of which are theoretical however, a lot of people like teaparty (to my knowledge) and not necessarily the small 12 player maps also games usually fill up. I wouldn't mind ridiculously laggy lobbies if anyone could play any map they want, I think others will agree. Oh that's right, seeing your friends precise movement when they do parkour is a necessity.

Another idea could just be to prevent duplicates, when servers need to be created it should look at all the maps that are joinable and create one that isn't there already. Maps that are full won't count as open. If not this there should always be one map open for each player count per team, yes that may mean constant Aztec games if there aren't any new To6 maps that I don't know of.

Firstly not always being able to play your favourite map can prolong your enjoyment of that map, since after a certain number of games on that map it becomes boring to play since games start to repeat so to say. This happened to me with pirates on skywars, at one point it was 1 of my favourite maps and I would get really lucky and continually find it on the board. However eventually I got bored of it. I like it again now but it just goes to show you what I mean.
If you don't want to play the same map over and over again, then don't ;). Other people's ideas of "enjoy" will differ from yours.

@jollow250 and @Bob_the_Giraffe It wouldn’t lag.
The minigames you play are seperate servers, not seperate worlds inside one server.

Cubecraft just has a mechanism which starts a server and copies game data into it and then closes the server once it’s finished. The server then transfers to be used by other gamemodes if a certain game requires more servers than another.

Anyways, I personally think it is a great idea as it would allow users to play on maps they like.

yes it would
have you worked with the specific plugin used to this scale before
Something tells me you haven't

Each map is a separate world to many of which open at the same time will hurt the server
that is the main reason the system isn't already like this

If there was no cost like that I don't know why they wouldn't have done this

The plugins people create on Spigot are very unlike the plugins developers create for Cubecraft. They aren’t worlds, they are all seperate servers and I’ve already seen that this is true because I’ve staffed on CCG and it’s the only actual explanation to why certain things didn’t work such as joining game servers when they are full.

I understand that you would like to play your favorite map as much as possible, but I personally think that playing the same map over and over gets a bit boring after a while. I don't mind some variation in available maps and therefore, I'd like to keep the current map system.
