Dissatisfied with how the forums is , and how it works.

Honestly , this is less of a forums and more of a social media site. This needs change.

This can be initiated in many ways , a few of which I shall describe here-

Downvotes and upvotes are something which could show what suggestions are required and what are not required. Instead of the threads that are most recently replied to getting bumped up to the top , bumping system should be a combination of upvotes and recently messages on.

Next , is lineancy with the bumping rule. Threads that are bumped out of the time limit are immediately locked. Supported threas ahouls not be locked , unless well out of the reasonable time limit.

I would prefer if the forums would delete status , likes and message counters , to be realistic , that wont happen.

Next is the addition of total downvotes on a profile. Add an option to filter threads on more criteria:

-who replied
-when the thread was made
-controversial threads
-liked/disliked threads
-ignored threads.

An option to completely disable viewing status messages when viewing a profile , to disablw viewing profile picture would also contribute to making forums less addictive.

Remove the message time limit for established members of forums. It actually causes addiction , (scientific proof exists , pls remind me)

Furthermore , there is absolutely no point in followers. Please remove this feature in its entirety, this is not twitter. As an expirement, I shall proceed to follow Marieke2001 , the mod shall give a generic thanks , proceeding which I will ask what the point of following really is.

Due to a lot of people being young , there could possible be people whi SPAM DOWNVOTES just because they dislike a person . This should be punishable.

I should have , would have , but the cubecraft forumers are far too lazy to go through lots of text or they cant read , so I had to split it up.

everything in ur thread is right exept the addictive thing with the mesagge countdown
i saw this experement and it is addictive because there is a reward. now there is no reward and it doesn't help you if you spam the post button more

I think there should be an update soon, but I like how the forums is currently. If it was never changed, I wouldn't be bothered, but it would be nice.

People CAN read, they just don't want to read a whole thread for a long period of time.

1. It’s already a feature.
2. You can disable it by clicking on your text if you edit / reply / post and you’ll get a pop-up saying “Select, Select All, Lookup”. Click “Select”. You’ll then be given more options, “Cut, Copy, Paste, B I U”. Again, click “B I U”, then highlight what you want to be edited, and edit appropriately.

What if they just don't like any of the threads they post? How will they tell that apart from just downvoting?

Up/downvotes +1 maybe staff will listen to our suggestions then.
Change of bumping rule +1 if a member posts a support thread and recieves no reply in >2 weeks then they should be able to bump it to ty and get the support they want.
Remove counters -1 they can be useful when looking for the best ppl to ask when in need of help.
Downvote counter +1 but the fact that you suggested it added and asked for counters to be removed makes you a hypocrite.
Disable status and pfp -1 a completely redundant feature thst would be and the addiction you said it can cause sounds like a load of bs.
Remove time limit for established members -1 just reduce it to 30secs for members who have been on the forums for over a year, have over 1k posts and have a good post:like ratio (show us this proof of addiction)
Remove followers 0 I'm neutral as although I'm sure <5% of users use their news feed following is a show of respect to those who are followed and I'm not even sure if its possible to remove them.
Downvote spam punishment +1 salty little kids who blindly downvote suggestions by users they don't like (even if they think its a good idea) need controlling.

Of course , downvotes should be restricted on profile posts and game forums . Suggestion threads should include them though. That would need a new and unnecessary rule however- to restrict suggestion threads only to suggestions and not to other sub forums.

I agree with this more than @Stainfullterror 's suggestion. There isn't a real way to make the forums 'less addictive'. This is where people come to express how they feel about the server, how to improve, show off their builds. We all support each other. To take away everything that helps build the community would be wrong.
