I think enderpearls are fine the way they are. They work just fine. Players complained when they weren't in the Normal gamemode. They were, then, added to Normal. Now you complain that they aren't expensive enough when they are 64 diamonds in both OP and Normal.
So, my suggestion to you is to find better strategies to combat players with enderpearls.

I think it's fine the way it is now too. A lot of the time i actually see it when someone e pearls anyway, plus, they aren't common due to their price.
You know what else takes the fun away? Being completely unable to reach an island because those campers will do literally everything they can to stalemate the game as long as possible, spamming punch bow arrows for infinity.

Considering 5 obbi is way cheaper than a pearl this is just incorrect.

i get all your points. i especially agree with what was just said about campers but i think everyone has been mis-understanding what i meant. i do agree that the enderpearls prevent campers and they do speed up the games. i did say that enderpearls should be taken out but you all have made me realize that it wouldn't be too good. but i still think that there should be a drawback such as the freeze. enderpearls are one of the best items in the game and alot of you would agree with that which is why they should have a drawback to add a bit of risk or allow a bit of tactics to be used with them. maybe different enderpearls with different drawbacks i don't know but its just my opinion
removing e-pearls is stupid, i mean, if someone has their island transformed into a gaint fortress, having no e-pearl makes it impossible to reach it.
And so are punch bows which are only 25 diamonds. Considering that I would rather say enderpearls need a buff than a nerf.
So you want camping back if ender pearls are gone? I think the game is fine with ender pearls like they are right now... maybe a stack and... 16 diamonds? But not the freeze thing or fire because that would just take the point of the ender pearl away because players could know instantly when a player is at your base. Also enderpearls cant go forever, they can only go so far. So I say no.

64 diamonds for an emerald is actually not that expensive considering you get a diamond every second when the gen is maxed out. A minute on the gen and you can get an ender pearl. It takes teamwork and communication to get the diamonds that upgrade the generator and then work from there. I like the idea of implementing a freezing player but the price shouldn’t change because the lack of pvp it would take to get the diamonds. Anyone can run to mid with no armor and grab 10 diamonds and run back and ender pearl somewhere... definitely not fair as 64 diamonds gives players an equal chance.
Like, we fought to bring ender pearls to normal egg wars and you just wanna remove them because it lowers camping?

no that isnt it. i love the fact it lowers camping but enderpearls are a game changing item. yes they may cost alot of diamonds but if your have a max diamond gen then it wont take too long. its just my opinion that they should have a drawback after usage to make them more tactical then game changing
I think enderpearls are fine. The fact that they are dangerous to use makes them risky. You can easily set up traps for the enderpearls, and you can just watch and protect your egg. And when the enderpearls are used the people usually dont want to fight they just want your egg dead. So for my answer to your problem with enderpearls just be more aware.
im sorry ive never heard of traps for enderpearls, i never knew such things could be made but if thats the case then ill do some research and i guess there is no need for drawbacks
Nope. They are perfectly fine as it is, only a few games would be affected. It takes a long time to win without enderpearls. Just look at my video... It took me over 1hr (Maybe cause I was doing a challenge, but still) I was able to win just because of the enderpearls.
i dont think it was your intention but you kinda helped my case then ;D. what you said did show that enderpearls are a game changing item and are incredibly good.
