NO, 1.8 fights are like for 10 seconds, 1.9 is like better and 1v1 are longer

As much as I'd love to have 1.8 get the same amount of love 1.9+ does, I don't think it's practical.
1.8's player base is pretty small as it is, and these games would spread out the player base even more & it would take forever for all of the games to fill and start.
Aside that, 1.9+ is the priority for a good reason & shouldn't necessarily be hindered by the 1.8 networks. Adding all games from 1.9+ to 1.8 would require Cube to make a lot of changes to existing game mechanics and generally be a big mess.
Think about Elytra's, shields, shulkers, special arrows, etc. All of these features would need to be reworked to fit 1.8, and for what? They would likely not even play half of the games that are provided, and this means (as I stated earlier) games will take forever to start, which leads to less players playing said game.
When will people understand that 1.8 can be a good idea just not in all minds? Its called opinions. 1.8 can be fine for most players but its not like 1.8 is a "bad idea"
I think every 1.8 PvP'er could run to the Action, buy a gaming mouse and get 3 clicks in 1 click.

I would honestly love to have more 1.8 games, but since 1.8 players make up a small fraction of the total player base, too much effort would be involved for the developers/staff to be worth it. Maybe in the future.

Currently, a lot of 1.9 games are dead ( UHC is a great example)

But it would still be nice for players in 1.8 to get something like sg because I can see how the void gets boring...
I don't think it's a good idea, changing to 1.8 maybe not increase the number of players, I personally like the pvp of 1.9 you don't have to be clicking like crazy, I'm just giving my point of view.
Yeah, i agree. If they just added 1.8.9 to the server i think more players will join and play the gamemodes. (For example Ultra Hardcore)
