Um haven't you noticed they changed the Eula and started blacklisting servers that had pay to win features? Some factions servers are pretty big, and 1.9 + Factions would never work. Too long fights, cube uhcs hardly happen but i can't imagine how bow oriented they are, on hypixel 95 percent is bow, and it is 1.8 pvp.
Alright fair enough, a chunk of a servers players are there just because of a YT showcasing it. But TBH I can only think of 3 yters that play on more than 1 server, Preston playz, unspeakablegames, shotgunraids. Aka the clickbait YouTubers, to my understanding none of them are actually good and only do what they can to clickbait. Has any of those 3 people ever play on a pot pvp server? I'm pretty sure the amount of people on pot pvp servers is at least equal to those on cubecraft. And as you said cubecraft has the yt advantage...
Well UHC doesn't is probably better off without the shield I would think. IDK it just seems good without it.

Toughness doesn't make it weaker - it increases armor effectiveness against the 1.9 armor nerf. Sharp V dia sword only has higher dps in 1.8 than 1.9+ against low-armor players; 1.9+ has more than double dps against OP armor than in 1.8. And I was being generous with the Prot RNG, assuming the least protection.
Yea no steak only heals 4 hearts over 4 seconds; I would change some of the food values like steak, and cancel fast-healing if you take damage, but it's not terribly broken. OP on Cubecraft is stupidly unbalanced - they make the armor scale way faster than the weaponry. And you know, a simple solution to this steak/gapple chugging problem would simply be to not give people so much steak/gapples. It's not that hard.
Cube has a pretty poorly-designed kitpvp system - you can't drop pots, for example. PM me for a different server to test on.

I disagree that there are retards on the internet, darn you proved me wrong. Remind me how many people are on cubecraft? At most 5,000. How many are on hypixel? No less than 30,000. Not to mention all the pot pvp servers, Mineplex, factions servers. 1.8 will never die. What's that? There are millions of players who want to be up to date? LMFAO, millions of twelvies in their survival world trying to kill the ender dragon and building a house. About building, would you rather be jumping around on the unicorn farts that concrete is clicking 1 time a second or actually have a fun pvp fight?

1.12 pvp is much more fun than 1.7's cookie-clicker, need-at-least-20-Badlion-plugins-to-make-it-playable pvp.

Most "big server" players literally just follow the most recent fad they see on YT - if a guy's playing this "new, original" EggWars/MoneyWars game, then all of a sudden Cubecraft gets a huge influx of players. As soon as those YT'ers move over to play the "new, totally original" Hypixel Bedwars, so do those players.

Sorry I never play on cube past 10:00 pm, I'm American, it would make sense more people in Europe play in their time zone. Sorry for overlooking that.
I was referring to people in survival worlds, they don't really care about pvp at all only features added. The reason 1.7 requires plugins is because of a few bugs. There's one about relogging and kb the player in the server first takes 0.2 blocks of kb. However in 1.8.9.

You got that reduced kb thing from Tenebrous, didn't you? Most people don't/didn't know about that anyways,they only click fast because there isn't a reason not to.

Because of shields, there's actually much less emphasis on bows in 1.9+. That's sort of why shields were made.

What do you mean armor got nerfed. I saw the toughness addition but nothing else changed, also sharp was heavily nerfed. Sharp 5 in 1.8 does an additional 6.25 but in 1.9 it does only 3. Also don't forget the joke of a healing system. In potion you could probably just chug steak or g carrots (depends on server)

In 1.9, armor was nerfed such that higher-damage attacks pierce armor better than low-damage attacks. Specifically, for every 1 damage point a single attack does, 2% of the armor protection is ignored. Toughness was added in 1.9.2 to counteract this nerf, and it only appears naturally on diamond armor. Full diamond armor has enough toughness to reduce armor-piercing to only -1% protection per damage point. If a person were given a very high value of armor toughness through commands, then armor would behave like 1.8 armor.
Sure Sharpness was nerfed because it was stupidly OP in 1.8, just like Prot. In 1.9, you do 1.08 dmg with Sharp V diamond sword against full Prot IV diamond armor, and 1.628 damage if it's a crit. In 1.8, you do .57 or .73 if crit in the same gear scenario.
The healing system isn't a joke, it's a nice balance between beta food and 1.8 food. Chugging steak is still not as powerful as chugging normal gapples, and you can't exactly do that and survive even in 1.8 can you? Healing pots are still a much better way to heal.

Remind me one thing tho, idc if in 1.9 armor toughness makes armor weaker. In 1.8 you do a much higher dps with sharp 5 diamond you also do more damage then 1.9 sharp is perfectly balanced in 1.8 imo protection levels have a rng factor involved so whatever method you used to calculate it could be innacurate beta healing is soup pvp in a nutshell and I would say still seems better than 1.9. 1 stupid steak heals 3/4 of your health in 1.9. how can you pretend that Is balanced? Granted pvp fights in 1.8 get janitored alot, they don't take 7 years of gap chugging. I used to play 1.9 alot. I have about 14 days of time on eggwars and was even part of NoMercy (not sure if that last one is necessary) I do 1.8 now and I have a lot more fun doing it, I played op eggwars and full diamond protection 4 takes forever to kill. I'm pretty sure 1.8 is faster no matter what...

Armor piercing is the only armor difference between the two, want to test 1.9 potion with me on cube tommorow :3. (Actually NoDebuff it's better)
