So. I know that this has been reported many times before, and at 1 time was even removed because it was abused. What if we had something like this. Every player would be able to do /report <player name> <reason> (the basic command. It would have to be one of the set reasons to actually go though. This would be the options from report.cubecraft.net) but it would not notify staff or anything. That way if players abused it, it would not matter. The only way staff could see it is if they do /r list. Then, instead of this showing random reports (most of which would be fake), it shows the players that have the most reports, and for what reasons. (you would be only able to do this once). This way, you would have to be in a group of spammers in order to spam report people, if a staff sees it. Some people might not get reported with this, but then there will be the few that actually take the time to go to the real report site if the person is not reported enough. I think that this will raise the amount people that get punished for their actions, because even the people that don't want to waste their time with report.cubecraft.net, might report people if it is that easy.

Thank you for reading this (if you did). Please tell me if you think that this isn't any better than what everyone else suggests. Just don't be so harsh. I am just trying to help.

So I'm assuming that your way of /report would be an option for staff to see? Even in this instance, I don't think it would do any good. For a person to be banned like this, the staff members themselves would need to go and spectate the suspect to really see if they are hacking. With this, it would simply mean that the person would need to have his hacks on at the time and that the person needs to be on as well. For me, I personally think the report site is much efficient compared to in-game hacker watching. Yes, you may rid yourself of a hacker in your game, but the chances of that are quite slim. With so many players compared to staff, it would be almost a miracle to see a hacker in your game banned. Not to mention, there could also be many legitimate players that have a lot of pending reports on them in which they are all false, meaning that your hacker might not even get to the top. I think spending around 3-4 minutes on the report site is more efficient for a staff member to watch a possible hacker for possibly an hour. Also, you got to understand that some staff members want to spend their time enjoying the server. It would be a nice addition, but with the staff size and efficiency with the reports site, I don't really think the report command would work very well.

I agree that this idea would be a great way to help keep hackers contained on this server, but I also understand that there would be many false accusations which would waste the staff's time. Even with the /r command, there can still be a lot a spam. Though I like this idea very much, I do not think it would work out.

This idea has been suggested many times before. I think it is a good idea but may cause a lot of spam for the staff members of the CubeCraft server. There are not enough staff members for every hacker on this server. For that reason, it may not be a good idea. This is a continue of my last post.

We had the /report command in the past but it has been removed due to it was being heavily abused. Players were submitting fake reports and Staff Members were wasting their time on fake reports. Due to these and some other reasons, the /report command won't be added back.

The idea of you is very good, but if you really want to avoid the rule breakers,
then you should not be lazy to use: reports.cubecraft.net
For me it is good as it is now, but your idea is also very good, good thought about it!

This might be a good idea. If staff members can see which persons have been reported a lot they can spectate them if they are online. If they are really hacking it is easy to ban them. I don't know if this is more effective than staff spending time checking reports on the forum tho. I would give it a try as long as it doesn't replace the current report system on the website.

Beyond time and space
"Never suggested before"
Sorry to break it to ya, but you probably got this idea from me, knowingly or not:
https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/more-staff-staff-for-single-minigames.192245/#post-854733
This too wasn't the first suggestion of it, I suggested the actual thing about a year ago:
https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/a-suggestion-for-reports.121275/
So nah, I don't think it's "Never suggested before"

I'll probably redo that thread and make a new improved one since the old one had some flaws.

Now onto the thread itself:
Just like my old thread, yours has flaws, many of which are the same:
1. Actual good pvp'ers would be on top of the list since they get accused of hacks a lot, and since they won't be banned they won't be removed from the list either.
2. Staff can't spectate non-ffa games as for now, so some coding has to be done
3. Checking reports would still be more efficient than this system, since it's just a lot faster, it's easier, and is more accurate.

All of these have a hypothetical solution that I will mention in my revised thread.
That's my response, o/
