Do you think a spectator mode should be added into FFA?

So, I had this idea to add a spectator mode in FFA, and this is why I think it is a very handy thing to have in FFA.

1) When you think someone is hacking, you can go into spectator mode, by clicking on an armor stand in the lobby where you also choose your kits, you can spectate the hacker, then see if he/she is actually hacking and then report it. Normally you would have to spawn back and search for the hacker to record him, if you can go into spectator mode and just teleport to him it will be easier to report people.

2) Cinematic Shots; you can make cinematic shots of for example your friend that is in a fight and make epic video's

3) There are lots of more thinks you can do with a spectator mode and I think it will be awesome!

I hope this is a good idea and that it hopefully will be added to the Cubecraft Server!

I don't think this is necessary, because FFA stands for FreeForAll (I'm sure you know that), and players go there to gain points and kills, so why would anyone need spectator mode in FFA? also, most players are capable of reporting rule breakers without using spectator mode on FFA, but I like the idea that you have mentioned about cinematic shots. Players that would like to take cinematic shots on FFA would most likely need spectator mode on FFA, because it's easier.

Keep up the good work!

Thank you. :D

The thing is, it could be used to help other people cheat. For example, an alternative account could log on and find weak players. People would essentially just use it as a player minimap, but largescale.

Hey man.
Maybe it is good for people with hacks, that you can tp to him and him record for a report on the forums. Also, cinematic that is a very nice idea for a awsome video clip. And yeah that is right you can a lot with spectator mode! ;)

I don't know. I mean you could use this for recording hackers, but this is and actually needs to stay a Staff thing. Staff are here to punish all the rule breakers. They can punish rule breakers when they're in spectator mode. So, I am against this idea.

Oh also, this just popped up in my head, this can be abused easily. If you're getting attacked and you're almost dead, just type the command that gets you in specator mode very fast and voilà. You just abused it.

Well it is kind of up to the community to expose hackers/get them noticed by the staff. They can't seek them all out alone~

Couldn't you just /lobby if you were going to be like that anyway? Doesn't really seem like a point of abuse.

Aside from that it doesn't seem like too bad of an idea. It might not get used as often as you think, but who knows!

Very true. That's why they have 100's of reports every day.

Yeah, that is indeed also possible. You lose your stuff if you do /lobby and you're still in combat, right?

It might be a good idea to record a hacker, but maybe if there's a hacker, half of all the players in that map is in spectator mode to record that hacker and then the Staff gets 10/15 reports of the same hacker. I don't think they would like that.

i Don't think it's handy because it's a staff option and i think it's better to keep this a staff option!

I have suggested this in the past, and majorily I got a positive reponse. Having spectator mode makes it easier for you to catch hackers, without having to actually find the player and wait for him to use it on you. I have experienced cases where people would toggle off everytime they faced me after I called them out. Having spectator mode makes them unaware of you, making it easier to record them.

Well I highly doubt too many people actually report, even so, reports of the same person will be dealt with accordingly. If someone is truly hacking, they will be punished, and the other reports will be closed. I dunno how the report system works, and how the staff look through them, but if an automatic system can make things easier, it's up to Andy.

The thing is, it could be used to help other people cheat. For example, an alternative account could log on and find weak players. People would essentially just use it as a player minimap, but largescale.

Even so, it will take players a while to get to the player they want to kill. I highly doubt this will even work.

If it isn't handy, why is it a staff option?
