Disclaimer: yes this is long but read to the end to grasp my point.
Today i went on hypixel to try out their new game bedwars. now i have a rank on hypixel, mvp and a rank on cubecraft, Gold. i saw that a lot of people on the cubecraft forums were scared that this new game was a copy of egg wars and would take players away from cubecraft. so myself and a couple of my friends decided to have a few games of each and see what we think. first of all we of coursed noticed that bedwars is only in beta so wont have multiple maps or even be a fully developed gamemode. we loved the game and we thought is was a great new breath to the eggwars genre however that is all it is, another game in the genre, not a copy of the game. where as eggwars brings out the strategist in us bedwars brings out the pvper in us. in eggwars you have to be clever aware of every move wear as in bedwars it is fast pace you can make upgrades to yourself and your whole team at the same time. i found bedwars more to be like a play on mini walls with inspiration from eggwars. In short i believe that bedwars isn't a threat to eggwars, more of a cousin. They are two different games for two types of players. I love both games and will play both regularly however one cant replace the other, they are too unique. finaly I want to say that though they games our unique cubecraft and hypixel will try to out do each other and this means there will be more updates and that is a great thing because in the long term it will leave us the player with two incredibly developed game.
