THE NEW KNOCKBACK IS GOOOD (sorry for my grammar) this new knockback is more like the old knockback just less glitchy and you take a little more knockback 10/10 for me!!! plus you can run while hitting now witch is also good

This Knockback IS WAYYYYYYY better than the first one it's more controlled and balanced than the first one this is the knockback I would like to see implemented. No complaints it's perfect.

Well done! Played a couple dozen games and the knockback is a lot less "twitchy" I guess you could call it. Before the first beta knockback testing it was always really glitchy and didnt feel smooth at all. Its definitely come a long way now and yes it's a lot smoother now, thankyou for all the effort you put into this for your community and I'm happy to say I love it!

Ngl it felt like snowballs and any throwable object did a ton of KB, I could hit someone with an egg and they would go super far and vice versa, this is better than the first KB test, but it seems to be a bit too much KB. Also, I don't know if it's me or the game, but for some reason, I eat gapples and I just spit them out of my mouth. I hold them for the right amount of time and even let them go over, and they just don't eat.

I didn’t really like the first version because too much kb happened. But here, sometimes people do NOT take kb and we cannot COMBO. So pls fix and add at least a bit of knock back to enable combo cuz it’s hard.

Recently I started playing the knockback testing SkyWars and I absolutely love it! I can’t compare it the the first version because I didn’t play it as much BUT I can compare it to the knockback on the rest of the server: it feels so much better, experimental skywars is the only thing i play now!

A thing I noticed is that people with higher ping take way less knockback than people with lower ping which is annoying if you want to combo someone

But in general, it feels way better, way more natural!

Today, we're releasing our second version of our Experimental Knockback! After reading all of your feedback on our initial release thread, we have decided to make a few changes! Read on to find out more... 👀

📜 Changelog!

- Decreased vertical knockback slightly: We did not want to decrease it to the point that combos were impossible, however, we've decreased it so you don't go flying when you're in a fight.

- Increased horizontal knockback slightly: Though the difference is rather negligible (for reference, the number was increased by 0.003 in code), we think this helps with getting combos on players, especially with the reduced vertical knockback.

- Added bow knockback: The knockback on projectiles, at the moment, is rather lacklustre. We're looking into implementing better knockback for projectiles like eggs and snowballs, however, we were able to adjust the bow knockback so that it isn't inconsistent as well. Be sure to leave us feedback on this!

- Removed sprint reset when getting a hit on a player: This was pretty annoying and inconvenient for most players.

- Added platform-specific games.

We've also been experimenting with platform specific games, as mentioned in this thread.
For the last week, platform specific games have been enabled on our Knockback Testing gamemode, and are looking for feedback on this.

We understand that there may be some concerns, and we've tried to address most of them, but if there are any more concerns regarding this, please comment on this thread! If you're looking for an answer, feel free to click on any of these questions, as they have popped up in the initial feedback thread.

So, is this system always on?
This removes the challenge for mobile players
My games are more difficult
This will kill the game

Stream sniping is now ruined
I thought the problem was the knockback, who mentioned anything to do with platforms?
Why not add an option for this? So, I either queue with my same platform, or everyone?

After playing a few games, we'd like for you to vote on the poll on this thread, as well as the separate thread for platform-specific games. We're hoping that, if the support for the new KB and the platform-specific games are positive, we'll release this within a week or so! I'm super excited about this as it's been a problem on our network for a really long time now, and it's finally getting fixed! 🎉

I sincerely think that they leave this version of kb for all modes, since I win the majority with almost 70% positive votes, the others should understand that it is a majority.

I think this version is definitely better than what it was before. However, I object to a few things.

This version feels like it is trying too hard to copy hive, in a few specific areas. Crits are gone, I think one really speicial part of cubecraft was the fact that it still had crits. I strongly request that the crits be brought back, they added more skill and another mechanic into the game that I believe many players would be fond of.

Also, I would like to see the attack sound brought back whenever you swing your fist. I know that the vanilla feature for this has been disabled on mant servers but its just a little thing I like. Not imperative to add but whatever - not really sure why it was removed in the first place.

UNLIKE the hive, projectiles are slow and have a very delayed spawning. I dont think this has to do with ping because it is abnormally slow - around 0.5-1 seconds. And it does next to no knockback. They should be behaving like java's fishing rods and it just doesnnt work like it should.

Finally, PLEASE add the mechanic where sending an attack packet and being hit on the same tick reduces your knockback! This is a really important feature on the java edition particularly for sumo, and it is yet another skill based mechanic that can enhance pvp to equate it to java 1.8 (which is what most players voted for originally).

It was too loud so it was removed.

I don't really like the new knockback because people fly too far away from you so it makes it harder to combo people.
but I like how you are listening to the community 😄

I think there should be a final poll with 2 options:
- Knockback V1
- Knockback V2

I personally like the last version way more but I think most people vote “I like it” on the current poll because they just like it, but maybe don’t even prefer this version.
Last version led to advantage for pc players but with the introduction for platform specific games (matchmaking) this shouldn’t be a problem anymore, so I hope there will be a final poll with some better formulated options
