yeah, i don't like this new kb update, for a few reasons... first of all, this is the place to come to when you don't really like theHive kb, and its unique... now its gonna change, and be like all the other bedrock servers, which ain't so pleasing. a few other things are how people have been working hard for months, even a year or more practicing, becoming really good in the game,,, and then they end up literally losing all skills cuz of this update? then you almost feel like you wasted so much time getting good, then the game changes... that kinda hurts, especially for players who've been playing for a long time, and have made so many accompleshments,,, and this is the result... the game changes... and actually before this kb update,,, people were still happy with the game! atleast many players, and players who don't like it, go to theHive and other servers. before this kb update, you can kinda compare the pvp style to how pvp in a survival world is... more like a survival before then it would/will be after this update,,, and another thing is that after this update, pvp will be quite less skill based, v=basically crit spamming and jump spamming and stuff,,, which just isn't nice... less fun too... so please consider not doing this kb update, have a good day :)
Cubecraft's complaints from server reviews are the KB so they made it good for the players complaining. If they were to keep it they wouldn't gain any new players since the KB just isn't fun. Thus not gaining any players, Old players just need to stick with it.

In my opinion, its great but look at mobile players and people who click 7-8 cps like me. They would just get comboed immediately because of extra hits lol. Plus, CubeCraft is becoming Hive and I kinda don't want that to happen.

So, all in all, its a no for me due to unbalanced vertical kb, unfair advantage to people who cant click 10+ cps and mobile players in general.
This isn't exactly the case as I have played my fair share of cubecraft on all devices (mobile,pc,console) and I find it easy to combo on all even tho I'm trash on mobile and console. And I like the fact that it adds a bit more competitiveness

I like this change, but I feel that sometimes is a little hard to combo.

An example is when you fight with someone with lag, happened to me that when he stops due to lag suddenly I am flying due to knockback and enemy is destroying me while I fly, this is weird for me.

Another thing that I do not like is that you don't have very much opportunity to have a trade of attacks, you are in a combo, you are over, this is something bad in my point of view.

And this knockback I think is better to people with high CPS as someone said before, so people in other platforms struggle (For what a friend on NS and XBOX1 told me)

Also, could you make bows and eggs/snowballs actually do knockback? Because for example on bridges I shoot someone but they don't move a centimeter, and now there is only 3 arrows, so move people or ruin enemy's bridges is harder.

This is something that I think on the changes and somethin that would be great to be added.

I think that changing kb on cubecraft is a good step in the right direction, however, the current kb is wayyy too much in my opinion. It’s a good idea, I just think it’s a matter of finding the right amount of kb

Yes people may not want this KB because it is too similar to the Hive/Galaxite’s. The reason most sweats play on cube is one of 3 main reasons.
1. Community
2. No upwards kb
3. Gamemodes

Generally you just want to lower upwards KB so that it can bring you up to a block and a half in height but only if they are backed up agains a wall. Kb should be a bit larger, maybe double/triple the normal backwards KB they take now and let players only experience half a block of upwards unless (as i stated earlier) they are pinned against a block so they get pushed ontop of that block.

TLDR: Upwards KB bad, make more like java.

Your statement reads like "it's a done deal but just help us hone it to perfection" whereas the original question posted was 4 options ranging from "Yeah roll it out everywhere" to "no please don't". Are you saying now that there is no point voting for option 4?

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE KNOCKBACK? (TEST #1)​

Cool.. understood, thank you for clarifying.

I love it but think it disadvantages new and mobile players so badly. Items used for fighting should probably deal proportionately more kb than noncombat items IMHO. I also worry that without at least a bit of randomness (life is random hey), combat will get boring.

There are also some very weird outlier cases where players get knocked dozens of blocks away... I'll try to compile some video evidence.

Hey Bedrock CubeCrafters!

Today, we're super excited to introduce to you our first edition of the Knockback test! We've been working pretty hard to get this rolling - we've mentioned in our community talk about Bedrock that we're wanting to involve you guys with these tests before implementing to our entire network. Once we have enough feedback, we'll be pushing these changes to our network, but we need a lot of feedback from everyone to make sure this knockback is as good as it can be!

Knockback Test Version 1:

  • First iteration.
  • Made knockback more consistent - large deviation from the current knockback.
  • Increased horizontal and vertical velocity from the current 1.9 knockback configuration.

We've noticed that knockback is very stagnant - you take knockback inconsistently, double and triple hits happen randomly when you try and crit, and you're overall not able to predict where people will be after you hit. This made PvP'ing not enjoyable at all.

Consistent knockback? Combos? On CubeCraft?! WHAT IS THIS BLASPHEMY?
This experimental knockback is only available in the Beta Games lobby, and you're only able to play Solo SkyWars. Statistics do not count, and there is no leaderboard. The only maps open now are Wiring, Ping Pong and Circuit. The purpose of this game is only for testing knockback, and not grinding.

Once you've played a few games, please vote on the poll on this thread! We'll use this to help us determine whether or not the knockback has improved! If you still find issues, please respond to this thread! We'll update this thread if we go through any changes in the changelog section!

This is the change I have been waiting for this is really good I started investing time into jitter clicking and it pays off since there is actually knockback so I can combo people!!!! Thank you so much

It's a DREAM for Windows 10 players.
Its easier for them to combo and they can win easier against all consoles. (Sweat more)
So it will suck for Mobile players.
Either add a Touch matchmaking or make this mode a mode only.
Dont add it to the normal skywars,
I will ensure that mobile won't stand a chance.
Im a mobile player and if this is gonna be the main knockback and not mode only im gonna have to quit the most stable server.
Please add a Touch only matchmaking it would mean everything for me...

I've played a lot to try this. I feel like is too easy to get a combo, you only need to get two hits and that's it you have the players flying, I think that with this kb you don't need a lot of ability to make insane combos and I don't think that's good. On the other hand, if someone takes you by surprise you'll be floating in the air with almost no oportunnities to scape. And by last I think that the players with low ping have a really great advantage with this kb system I like the idea but it need some improvements to make it a little more harder to get a combo, and maybe less vertical.

Well there is too much vertical knockback and its ugly. I have won and lost enough games on this test skywars and comboed people a lot and got comboed too . Its ugly when you win and ugly when you lose. Many times Im not even using a sword because its easy to push people off.

Im a 100% sure there will be very few new players trying out eggwars and such . As their main defence which is to get stacked up will not work at all.

I agree with Stampz2020 this new kb on eggwars would just make the game far too easy for experienced players... I mean it already is pretty easy to wipe out most mobile players already but this update as it stands if rolled out to all other modes would likely only exacerbate that. It just kinda comes down to a) having a pc and b) knowing the mechanic. I personally think It requires less skill than now.

Also agree with others.. it’s very Hive like and well, you know we all already have the choice to go to other servers if we favour their kB but we choose to be at cubecraft.

If ya’ll were minded to expand the test to a couple of eggwars maps (maybe golf and modern or library) you might get even better validated feedback... we could see what it does for fast rush times because I suspect rushing with nothing except a few blocks and a miner kit would become the norm... (I mean it kinda is already on many maps but will get far worse) possibly not what the game needs If it’s to be fun for more than just sweats/rush players/lb grinders.
create more alts and vote No then, we voted yes and we wanted to see the change and 45.3% of the server wanted this change and if you don't want this then just go to mineplex and play on their kB then!!!!

i feel like we wont go back to old kb or improved old kb.
so in that case.
please dont make knockback vertical. like please. this is cubecraft not hive. cubecraft always tried to be diffrent and original and know were gona get that kb where u just make ppl fly?
its no fun for mobilers and even i dont even enjoy if i combo someone that way because its way to easy. imo this is a step to far. the kb is okay if it would be less vertical. people play cubecraft for a reason. please dont make players quit cuz of the vertical kb. that doesnt even look or feel like java kb.

upwards kb will make a lot of players quit. it wont be enjoyable for people on mobile.
and gamemodes like mega will be terrible to play.
