Hi there,
I personally use labymod (with damage indicators on) because I love the emotes in laby and the privet friends chat that works even If you're not on the same server. I understand the points of both sides. Yes, it's an advantage and not everyone want's to download it. But on the other had it your decision to not download it. I don't think they should ban labymod because labymod has some really cool features I like.

I don’t believe this is ever something we should actually ban for. I personally don’t like damage indicators for the same reasons as others have posted, but banning players who use it is just too much.

Instead of punishing for it or enabling a server wide damage indicator, we could somehow prevent any indicators from working. I believe this is what happened with the BetterPVP client where used to ban players who used it due to some features, but now we allow it since those features have been prevented (at least I think that is what happened. I was kind of gone when that changed happened so could be wrong). Anyway, we continue to allow damage indicators, but it would be effectively useless. It would just show players at full health, no health, or some random health in order to prevent any useful knowledge from being shared.

That’s a great idea as labymod and all its other features will be intact apart from the damage indicator. Having the damage indicator not working would be fair for everyone.

is just my humble opinion: I don't like to use those mod types, it's not because I can't, in fact they work well for me, but I feel it's unfair. Reason?​

  • First of all is unfair to see all players hearts, bc no all can do it and thenI'm tired of people coming to do a clean or focus thanks to those kinds of advantages, this is very annoying sometimes.
disadvantages of using this mod:
  • reports submitted with Labymod won't be accepted
  • For people that don't have a nice computer the labymod probably will work bad (based on frames per second)

Health indicators is extremely overpowered. I can see that some people have not played without indicators for so long that they are spreading lies such as "it doesn't make much of a difference". This of course is not true, it makes a huge difference, especially when notch apples are involved in overpowered eggwars games.

There are 2 ways to resolve this huge advantage health indicators users have:

1) Add health indicators server side - this means anyone that joins the server, even if they are on plain vanilla, will be able to see other players' health. This would probably cause minigames on the server to be absolute clean-fests, whether you think that would be fun or not would be interesting.

2) Obfuscate health - there are other large minigames servers, some directly competing with Cubecraft, that obfuscate health when read by a player. For example, one server makes it so that health indicators will always display players' health is at 10 hearts, even if they're on 1 heart. I personally would choose this option.

It would be better if they completely remove it so everyone doesnt have an advantage to each other or
They will add a Health indicator to resolve the issue

It gives an unfair advantage over people playing on vanilla, so it shouldn't matter if it can be easily downloaded it should still be bannable IMO

I do definitely agree that it’s an unfair advantage but it’s something that is difficult to detect and therefore to report.

yes, but its VERY easy to detect server side. honestly what they should do is add LabyMod to the blacklisted clients list because it does provide advantages. And for the people who use it, they can find another client and play fairly like everyone. if a client has a feature like this it shouldn't be allowed. but that's just my opinion

I don’t want this to be bannable. I think the better way to combat this is to have a damage indicator built so that everyone has it. Kind of like how Hypixel lets you see the amount of hearts a player has under their username. Besides, if it was bannable how would you even be able to ever report someone about it? Now people are going to be toxic they got cleaned and say “oh he had a damage indicator he knew I was low so he cleaned eZ ban!1!!!” Making this bannable/punishable would be useless. I’m basically backing what some others are saying like Marieke and TheBrownster.
