Hey @Smoothlyy

Both ways are fine to report Bedrock users.

Since Bedrock players can't sign up for a reports account, we have opened up a separate reports sub-forum for those who cannot create a reports account. Players that do have access to the reports site (so players with access to Java) can use that same account to report Bedrock users, hence the option on the reports site.

Keep in mind that the page where you need to choose between Java and Bedrock is only accessible by users that already have a reports account, so there's no problem with the Bedrock button staying in the reports site.

Hi! I am here today with a suggestion for the reports site/bedrock reports. Currently, when you click Bedrock on the reports site like so it doesn't bring you to the forums where you need to report Bedrock players. Instead it asks you to fill out a bedrock report on the reports site. I'm suggesting when you click the "Bedrock" option on the reports site, it brings you to this link: https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/how-to-report-a-bedrock-player-or-bug.220859/.

Thanks and have a good day!

NO! I'm way (and I believe a lot of other users who have both Java and Bedrock) more comfortable with reporting Bedrock players with the Java scheme.

Update on this:

After looking into this again, we've decided to remove the Bedrock option on our reports site until we've found a way to allow Bedrock players to register a reports account. The reports site wasn't really designed for Bedrock reports, hence the problems with spaces in names. This means that all Bedrock reports will need to be submitted in the Bedrock player and bug reports sub-forum.

Please note that this is a temporary solution until we've updated the reports site.

In all honestly, why not solving it by simply adding a message that says: "Alert! If a name contains a space, you must type %20 instead of the space"?

If you need to find a way to let Bedrock players be able to use the /registerreports, simply make that when they type that, they will receive a code or something to put into a verification system in the forums or something like that.

When the Cubecraft Staff Team says "temporary solution", normally these "temporary solutions" lasts for days, weeks, months, wihtout getting solved. I guess this time we must wait until December 2020 for a solution to be adopted, isn't it?

The fact is that some solutions can be found really easily. Why didn't you instead kept, the report site like that, and then, when you found a solution to the /registerreports for Bedrock players, they could report them aswell on the main report site? What is the use of "removing" that feature? It wasn't causing any problems, bugs or issues...Unless...You simply couldn't distinguish immediatly the difference between a Bedrock or a Java report? But it's impossible, I doubt that this is the main issue. If we can choose for the version of the report, then staff members should be able to view them aswell. The only conclusion I came up is that the staff simply doesn't like it. It was a feature since the first time they implemented it, there is no way it was "temporary", also because they said it's "temporary that they remove it". There is absolutely no reason to remove that feature, since it wasn't causing any problems to the community or to the staff (if yes, I wanna hear them) and it was working pretty fine. @Buuuddy , I would like you to give me a more detailed explanation. I simply don't see that as a valid reason to remove that feature.

With all these hackers that are literally infesting the Bedrock server, removing that feature doesn't do anything more than decreasing the amoutn of people reporting them and because of this, increasing even more the average amount of hackers in the server. Everyone is LITERALLY complaining and getting mad about how many hackers they see. There is no anti-cheat on Bedrock and hackers can easily bypass bans by making new accounts for free. Removing this option, is literally the final straw. There are already many users who got tired of reporting hackers on Bedrock and literally stopped, not caring anymore. Some of them even told me that they found annoying to fill that simple thread.
I'm used to give all the informations I can possibly insert in the reports, just to give the max evidences possible to the mods and sometimes, even when blatant, some reports I did have been denied anyways. I don't want to keep writing this bible, so I will end it here.

In summary: removing that feature has no sense. Hackers on Bedrock will increase. Legit players will decrease. Cubecraft Bedrock is neglected. I want answers.

I don't feel to correct every error I made in this text now.

I recently got the Bedrock option removed from the reports website as I had no idea that it still existed. It's rather confusing for users if there's 2 locations for Bedrock reports, and most people at the moment use the forums version as we advertise that's where they should go. I completely understand that it's easier, but we were getting too many reports of people not being able to report players with spaces in their names, and I'm aware that saying "Just add a %20" is possible, but some people will just not get it. We needed to make it easier to use, so at this point in time, Bedrock bugs and player reports will go via https://cbecrft.net/BedrockReports. We believe this to be a temporary solution and hopefully later in the year we will have the reports website supporting Bedrock players fully.

@Camezonda Is it possible to do that when you type a name with the space on the report website, it will secretly change it into a %20? You still can add that message that says "use %20 instead of the space", I'm sure if someone is able to use the report site, is not that stupid (sorry the term) to not get it. I will even put an example or a tutorial with a GIF if they still don't get it, or add a link of a my video where I explain in 10sec. how to use %20 instead of the spaces. Problem solved I guess.

Also, you said "I had no idea it still existed". Does this means it was something the Cubecraft team wanted to remove already time ago? If yes I guess is for the same reasons you said 2 phrases after. But in my opinion it was still not necessary...There could be better solutions. What I'm aware of now, is how much time will pass until you will find a solution for Bedrock. Some bugs are still present, the anticheat is still on progress, a lot of things never been solved since ages. I don't think you will let the report webiste "support Bedrock" (it always supported it, I don't get what did you mean) so fast considering all the other Bedrock's issues.

I personally think that leaving the feature and adding an Alert Message or a mini tutorial message could solve a big part of the problems. Removing it will instead just make it worse.

Also, you should inform players of a lot of things, like: why not adding an useful /help command on Bedrock? Or a Message that says "add a ! to talk in global chat" before the begin of any game in Team modes, both on Bedrock and Java? Seeing someone taling in-game is extremely rare on Bedrock, as no one knows of the "adding ! before the text" thing. They usually chat when they die and they move automatically to the global chat. But because of the Shadow Mutes, some players still can't communicate at all. The chat on Bedrock is also not immediate like the Java one: sometimes it gets buggy and you need to mess around with the mouse and the text bar, just to type. All these problems, cause Bedrock to be even more quiet and, somehow, the chat doesn't seems alive (like on Java).

Tower Defense is a good example as to why this doesn't work. It had a tutorial, players still didn't understand how it worked. Our playerbase has a lot more 8-12 year old with none to bad second languages than it seems like. I don't think this would fix any of the problems we're experiencing with the space bar problem on the report site.
EDIT: Also the time invested in it is probably not worth it, since we already handled most bedrock reports trough the forums. This would mean that someone has to make the tutorial, it has to get implemented, it might have some flaws which we have to edit out etc.

Alright. Even if I think is not the same thing comparing how Tower Defence works with typing %20 instead of adding a space....

I hope all the issues on Bedrock will get fixed soon and not in summer. Also, I don't understand if the Bedrock section on the report site will return or not, Buuuddy said they temporally removed it, Camezonda said he didn't know it was still a think and he got rid of it. So, will that feature return or we will have to use the Report via thread forever?

I was comparing your idea of adding tutorials to the tutorials we’ve already had in the past xd.
