Tower defense is my favorite game on Cubecraft, however, people quit rather quickly due to not knowing how to play or team imbalance and I am getting annoyed by this.

This was my last game, a 1v1 between me and another player: https://i.imgur.com/SWoBHpJ.png
These games are very boring so I think there should be some sort of punishment for leaving (reduced rewards, not being able to play TD for a certain amount of time...) or make the players go through a tutorial. There used to be one, but isn't there anymore.

I am with you. If you join a game is for playing and having fun, not to leave because you are loosing.
But it's so stange punish for that, I don't really think it will be implemented.
Also good post <3
Good luck with your post!

I completely understand your frustration and I have felt it a lot… But this can't be implemented, what if someone gets kicked? The Wi-Fi/Ethernet stops working, or they get warped out by their party leader? It wouldn't be fair to punish in so many situations. The idea is honest and well-placed, but I don't think implementing something like this would do any good. What if you get kick because your Wi-Fi decided to die for a second? And you wouldn't be able to play for a while... I don't think you would enjoy that and would believe it to be unfair.

Maybe not punish the players that left, but award the players who stayed?
For example, splitting up the money and the EXP on the people (of the same team) who are still in the game.
Dividing their bank (for example +100) by everyone who is still left, the 3rd player leaves (earned +100 coins) by the two remaining people, each now gets +50 extra every time?
Yes, a tutorial could be good, but there are tips and tricks in the wait lobby..?
Not everyone leaves because they don't get the game, I sometimes leave because I didn't think it would last that long, and have to eat after 30 minutes, or sometimes games just last an hour and I start getting bored and just leave..
Don't punish, but award :)

They could also add the ability to invite players to the game via a standalone invite system for towerdefence only (or maybe an additional join option to join games that are already running, this would be a bad idea, because this will get heavily abused).

Your idea is great really. I experienced this issue on blockwars where if a team has many less players than their opponents they get resistance which is basically useful only in 1v1 fights and thats it. This could be added in the games mentioned and I'd add slime survival to the list (As I played games where there were as in many games there are as almost many survivors as slimes which shouldn't happen).
his could be limited so it's not abused.
For example:
In tower defence you won't be able to join a game if armaggedon started or if a tower has 40% less hp than the other one.
In BlockWarsCTF you won't be able to join if there are 2 minutes left for the game to finish/for the overtime to start or if a team has scored 2 flags already (they could be capturing the last flag and if a player joins and lose instantly they could get annoyed and stop trying to play the game).
In BlockWarsCore it would be the same but people won't be able to join if there are 15 core hits difference between both teams.
In Slime Survival you won't be able to join if there are 1min30secs left and the player that joined would have 5-10 seconds of invincibility so they aren't caught as soon as they spawn.

Something I forgot to mention:
Default for everyone is to get 5 coins/s without upgrades. Perhaps if someone leaves, the gold generation splits amongst other players.
Some other servers have the option to reconnect if you log in back on the server while the game is still in progress. Maybe add that?

I forgot about it sorry. It would def be a good addition there too. People wouldn't be able to join maybe if the game ended in 2 mins or less or if there was a difference of a 50% between both teams scores.
Also in EggWars I think adding something like this could be op.

In both posts I'm giving my point of view and I'm only imagining something that could make games even more unbalanced so I'm totally open to hearing opinions about this.
