Hey! I'm pretty much suggesting what the thread title says. Let's say you want to be playing FFA for a decent amount of time, if you're a nerd like me and you want to try and get a lot of kills before the server closes, or if you want to buy something from the FFA shop but don't want it go to waste if the server is about to close, it would then be great to know how long there's left before the server closes. This can be displayed to the player on the sidebar that displays the time in minutes and seconds (mm:ss), like in the screenshot below.

Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated! :)

Restated post but at least this one is well organized and provides both a poll and an image to show as an example. You got my vote :3

Yeah, similar to your previous suggestion - this is a "quality-of-life" feature that definitely makes sense to add because it's just improving player convenience and isn't anything too drastic. Player convenience is something that has been lacking in general, and this is a way to start with improving it.

Really like this idea and it could be extremely useful for those going for high killstreaks to only then have the server restart before doing so
Though keep in mind you do get warned 10, 5 mins etc. about a server restart, though adding a timer would be useful and better than warnings personally.

they didnt make it the way the post says because they have just made it show the last 10 mins which is not what people wanted because you cant join that session when its 10 mins so the timer then is not that good we want a full match timer

I joined 2 FFA servers and I saw both timers be at around 30 minutes. I'd say they work pretty well and that this has implemented exactly how it was suggested.

Also, on a side note: I really didn't expect this to be accepted and implemented within 5 days upon being suggested. Thank you everyone for your support!

When I joined earlier it was not like that, but it could have just been a test because it didn't show up on any other sessions when I was playing.

Ooooh yeah this would be a really intersting change, I think I've been in that situation many times where I would like to know how much time until the server resets!!

As some of you have realised, this was implemented yesterday on both 1.9 and 1.8 FFA. Instead of showing the Restart line in the scoreboard at all times, it'll only display when the server has less than 1 hour before it shutsdown, usually, you're more than fine with purchasing items from the Shop up until 20 minutes before shutdown. If I see this feature causing less and less players in those 'older servers' due to players manually joining newer servers that restart later, I'll just simple down the time to 30 (or 15) minutes before it'll show on the scoreboard. This implementation took 15 minutes at most, so if it affects playing experience, it will be modified.

But for now... enjoy the QoL change.
