Believe me, this would be awesome. But there's a tiny little detail you didn't take into account: Duels is a dead game. Splitting its player base even more will do no good, if it already takes hours to make a single duel start, splitting the playerbase would make it unplayable.
That's why it's basically called PVP duels 1v1 because that's where you can find a duel against another player. The idea of implementing or developing a game mode of 2v2 in my opinion would be more, since you can find game modes of teams and demonstrate your skills in that regard with a partner since there are 2 team maps in EGGWARS or SKYWARS (TEAM). In my opinion add a game mode of duels in 2v2 I don't see it in the future.
I would love this. Most of the time I'm in a party with a friend of mine and we would love to compete against other parties.
Don’t like it at all. It defeats the point in a fight. One player can carry and the other get a free win.
