Hello there,

I have noticed a significant drop of the “escalated” tag. Even if threads contain beautiful ideas, it still doesn’t get added.

The last “escalated” tag is shown on page 8. Between page 1-8 are threads that definitely deserve to be implemented.

I am not a management member so I don’t know what they think about the ideas, but I have a feeling that they missed some.

Please, don’t be afraid to use the tag.

Agreed, we as a community bring a lot of great ideas, but they don’t really do something with it. I hope this will change in the future.

I definitely know what you talk about. I have noticed that some great ideas died out just because there wasn't any attention given to them.

San is suggesting this for a reason

That was mostly my reason.

Partly got this thread idea from that thread, thanks and I love that idea :p

Meh, escalated tag doesn't mean much in my opinion. It's usually just false hope given that you don't hear anything of it after getting escalated.
I think management still lists suggestions they will look at, and giving it an escalated tag is giving false hope, because it's not sure the suggestion will actually be implemented.

Bring it back except actually implement suggestions after escalating them. They used to escalate loads of threads but never actually implemented them. I 100% afree with escalating threads again but I don't want it to go back to the old days where they almost never implemented them. If you search "Escalated" on the site you just get dozens of threads that have had the escalated tag for months or years.

They should actually do that, yeah. But escalating threads again is a first step towards that idea, isn't it?

Some do get the implemented tag after an update, but that's not a lot sadly. I do agree that a lot of the threads are left behind. I also think that this is the reason of why they stopped escalating threads.
They probably should add another tag called 'Closed' or something when management decides the escalated tag will not be implemented, so people know what happened with their escalated thread.
That is a good idea tbh!

I believe the reason for this is because people started using the fact that someone escalated their thread (or multiple threads containing the same suggestion) to complain about it not being implemented.
And that’s not any user’s fault but the staff team’s fault in general. If they escalate, but then not implement. There should at least be some protocol to inform it. Something like “Your suggestion was taken into consideration among the management team but was eventually rejected. Thank you for your suggestion.”

So like a "closed" tag? Yeah, Shallidor talked about that too, and I agreed with it. Too many threads died out with the escalated tag.
Technically, if they were to escalate this thread then they've also implemented it
Which adds an implemented tag which will remove the escalated tag so it won't be implemented anymore but then they have to escalate this again so it's implemented... endless loop

Side note, it will probably cause people to ask for reasons why their suggestion was closed, but management can't always give out reasons publicly to deny suggestions.

Unless they escalate another thread so this can get implemented :D

Could be, but not always, if the reason is obvious, or they just can say "private reason".

I somehow think the community won't be easily satisfied with a response saying just 'private reason'.
Hmmm you're right, I wouldn't know any other thing though. If there was a private reason, the explanation would probably be "Hi! We discussed this, but decided to not implement it. Thanks though!"
