So this idea is the server comes up with an idea for an update and releases a thread about a new update that is coming. When that comes, forums members are able to give their response to that update thread so staff can get feedback from the community before officially releasing the update instead of surprising people and getting complaints after the update is released. One of these examples would be the "big change". Although people would still complain, it would be able to give developers a chance to change stuff that needs improving instead of just releasing the update and leaving it like that for a couple of weeks before deciding to change it. Another way this could work would be a vote for "yes" or "no" system/poll instead of just an entire thread full of responses. The one thing I think the server needs would be more ideas created by community forums members rather then just developers and the owner.

If this was implemented, the big change never would have happened. I still think that it was a good update, as it has started to make the playerbase grow. Sometimes, an update sounds bad when it is in words, but in effect, it is actually not bad.

While I appreciate the sentiment here, in most cases doing this would give unrealistic expectations to the community as a whole. If you think that 'The Big Update' wouldn't have happened if we had community feedback before the update you are 100% wrong. Sometimes things need to change despite being unpopular.

I am not sure about this idea. If the community would have been able to vote for/against the big change, I'm 100% sure it wouldn't have happened. It's like asking someone if they want their favourite game to be removed or to stay. However, the big change was really necessary and look what this server has become after approximately 4 months: 3000+ players at the peek hours, and sometimes even 4000+. This probably couldn't have happened if dead games like UHC and Battle Zone were not removed. Sometimes, it's necessary to remove things to grow again.
Anyway this thread is not about the big change so I'll now give my opinion on the suggestion itself.
It would be great if we'd have a say in updates, but sometimes it could slow things down. So I don't know.

This is a very messy way to organise an update, there would be a lot of arguing and discussion, I think that the player base would agree on obvious new things but never on specific changes and there would be a lot of problems with that.
