They can't argue against it, so they can't give a logical response.
Well I mean it can easily be prevented so I don’t think they really need an explanation. It’s just common sense.

Most of the time players kill farm with the intention of annoying or upsetting people.
Well no duh that’s called having fun by messing with people.

The goal in EggWars is to break the other teams' eggs and kill them
Aren’t they doing just that? Killing them?

If someone is able to kill farm your team then they are able to ein by normal means. It's just their choice to do it for a few more points. Just leave. People often just do it for the reaction as well. Just don't give them a reaction and leave.

I'm still gonna do it until they ban it (probably never). Even more so if I see staff in a game. ;)
Ah yes. The narcissism in this post and the surreal thoughts of abusing and targeting a Staff member to try and annoy them while they have nothing to do with anything. Yes yes. Let's annoy the staff members that ban all the hackers because us - the players - cry nonstop about it. The Staff members that handle all our reports and handle all the hate they get from players like yourself, without being paid or rewarded in any way.

You're honestly a douche mate.

I didn't wanna comment on this thread because the people arguing to make it bannable are dumb and quite close minded, but since I'm commenting here then I might as well give my point of view.

No it shouldn't be bannable. Kill farming is literally the act of killing people over and over again. The act of killing a lot. Killing is part of eggwars. Therefore it's really not an exploit.

Getting your KDR higher means nothing because your KDR doesn't matter whatsoever. There isn't a leaderboard or an award for the most kills or the best KDR.

Killing people in EggWars gives you like 1 point. And really, those points don't matter whatsoever. You can get 50~ by winning a game. Imagine the amount of time you'll need to spend to get that amount of points by farm killing. If players respawn every 5 seconds, and let's say you're killing a team of 2 non stop, killing them takes 2-3 seconds, (not even considering spawn protection) then you need 8 seconds to gain 2 points. (I might be completely incorrect, I haven't even played on the server in 2 weeks - probably a few months ago since my last game of eggwars)

All in all, these points don't mean much as you need about 500 points to purchase a decent kit.

Instead of enjoying a whole new game and playing against others, you're just wasting your time kill farming or also getting farm killed.

There's a command called /leave. If you don't want to use it, it means that your ego is too high and want to get a revenge in some way.

If you're being kill farmed then you lost. By dying in EggWars you spawn armor less and with no way of defending yourself. The enemy can easily break your egg and finish you off. You lost either ways. Difference is you're just being farmed.

I've been kill farmed tons of times before. First I try to see if there's a flaw in the box, or if my enemy generally sucks. When I realize I can't escape or do anything, I just /leave - which is mostly after getting killed like 8-10 times. It's not our fault you're too egoistic to leave the game.

Pretty much all of your arguments are flawed. Do you really think people don't leave because they're too egoistic? That's ridiculous. I've seen plenty of salty teams leave the moment they get trapped. The reason most people don't leave is because they are relatively new to the game and don't know about /leave. The first time I ever got kill farmed, which was a few weeks into playing, I had to exit out of Minecraft, because Cube has never given a clear list of their commands.

Also, do you even know the definition of narcissistic? My post doesn't give any indication narcissism. I could understand if you got animosity or salt from my post, in which case it would've just been a simple misunderstanding. Anyways, the post was a response to my friend who I've kill farmed with, since I commented on this thread that kill farming should be bannable. Well, I enjoy trolling, so if it's allowed I'm going to do it. Though it shouldn't be allowed since their current rules clearly state it isn't and have no mention of an exception. As for kill farming staff, it has nothing to do with hate towards them. It's because they give the funniest reactions (especially when they ban you for it).

Also, you seem to think the staff on this server are doing a good job. Let me tell you, from having played on many Minecraft servers, this Cube has some of the worst staff I've ever seen. They have a few good staff members, yes, but the majority do no truly care for the community. This could be an entirely new post itself, so I'm just gonna stop there.

I'm not gonna go over your whole argument because honestly I don't want to bother. All I'm going to say is
1 - players can just disconnect if they don't know what /leave is and honestly 99.9% of people do know what it is
2 - the entire existence of this thread is because the person who created it wanted to make it bannable because staff dont ban for it. If staff are banning for it then that's something for the staff feedback section as currently it is not against the rules

1 - If I were to give a realistic estimate, I'd guess about 20-25% of the given players on Cube at any moment know about /leave. If you're talking about the active player-base, it's probably around 90%. One of the OP's arguments was that kill farming deters new players, which it does. And one of the reasons is because very few of them know about /leave.

2. Irrelevant to any of my arguments.

20%??????? r u high
lol idk it's just a guess really. If I knew how many players usually on Cube are new or infrequent players it'd be much easier to tell. But given that Cube doesn't really advertise their commands and on most servers it's /hub or /spawn, probably around 20%. ;P

While we, as a staff team, appreciate you standing up for us it is always best to do so in a polite and respectful manner. Criticism, even the persistent type, is something that we should all strive to read and use to help us better understand how to fully and properly serve those in the community. While their decision to focus staff and farm them in games until it becomes a rule is negative and will not improve the speed of a rule being added, it should not illicite such a negative response from any of us staff or community. Critiquing their post on the other hand is fine, just make sure to be polite with it instead of stoking the fire they are trying to light.

While kill farming in and of itself is not really exploiting, blocking them in with obsidian and not breaking their egg (the whole point of the game eggwars) is technically a form of exploitation. While it is not in the rules, it is still a way that people are deciding to not play the game the way it was intended and make it into more of an easy FFA or Assassination style game. People who do not leave are not necessarily being egotistical as some do not know how to leave (as stated above) and others just want to enjoy the game for the purpose that the game was intended to be enjoyed. If people have a desire to kill continuously they should go to FFA or Assassination.

I always think of things like this in this way:
I am a new player, just found Cubecraft and am so excited to try Eggwars. I may not know all the commands, but I am learning and giving the server a shot. In one of the very first couple games I play, I get blocked in with obsidian and consistently killed. To me, this would be a negative first impression of the community and the server as a whole. (I always think about situations in this light, and also how it will affect the rest of the community as it is not fair to just refer to it as if everyone was a seasoned Cubecraft player).

Also, you seem to think the staff on this server are doing a good job. Let me tell you, from having played on many Minecraft servers, this Cube has some of the worst staff I've ever seen. With it recently being a holiday, I do know that the staff team as a whole had a bit of slowing down with activity due to spending time with family being more of a priority. I hear your complaints, though do not know all the reasoning. I would love to know more about what you think, so if you do not see improvements within the next month feel free to write a staff feedback thread here, where only Management and I can read it. I would love to hear what you are thinking and see if there are ways I can reasonably improve our staff team, within the respect that they are volunteering their time.

There is always the command /help, which does list the commands that we have on our server. If someone tried to type, say '/hub', it would tell them to do /help as the command is not an existing command. In the /help menu it does list /leave and explain what it does.

So today i was playing a game of Eggwars, everything was going fine and fun! we were kill other people vice-versa. orange decided to come to our island and cover our spawn with Obby. they left a gap in there wall so they could farm kill us. farily annoying but whatever. i record all my games so i figured since they are exploiting the bad spawn on beach and farm killing i could just get them banned or warned and i could go on with my day.

I go into discord and ask a staff if farm killing in Eggwars is bannable. not knowing if its a warning or a ban. and i was told that its not bannable at all. i was fairly confused since farming messes up peoples stats and let alone ruins the game for the people or person being trolled. they told me that its not bannable and there was nothing they really could do.

So i am here now wanting farming to be a bannable punishment in Eggwars.
imagine being a new player and the first game you get into is a bunch of kids kill farming you. i would quickly delete the server and never play it again.

The rules are very vague but even though i was told that farming kills does not fall under trolling, the definition of trolling in there rules kinda fall under the issue that happened today

"Trolling is defined as intentionally taking an action with the sole purpose of annoying, upsetting, or bullying another player. Trolling is strictly prohibited"

Also to the people who will say well you can just leave the game. i should not have too. why cant i play and lose fairly and not be kill farmed. it could go the same way for a hacker, why ban them just leave the game and join another game. its just frustrating.
While I have always had a massive distaste for people who trap others and farm kills of those that can no longer defend themselves, leaving the egg alive just to get more kills, the decision to make it a rule is not solely up to me. That being said, I myself have experienced the mass amount of responses of players who have had negative experiences due to these actions, while also experiencing it myself (before I was staff and when I was staff). I do personally feel it brings a negative experience to the overall game, even if it does not bring any massive benefits to the players farming of spawn kills in this way.

While, in a way, it is a style of trolling, it is not always meant in a way to irritate players as some just do it for points or their KD. That being said, your "method" to try and get us to make this a rule would more so be under trolling as you are intentionally planning to annoy players and staff to make something you want happen, happen. This is not the ideal way to have anything positive come out of your suggestion, but it is a way to get negative responses as I am sure you have noticed.

All that to be said, I will bring it up as a suggestion as none of the rules are made/decided by just me or management, and we will see what happens from there. I will not, however, be commenting more about it as after this the information will become classified until we reach a conclusion and make that decision public. Until then, it is not punishable and I apologize for any unpleasant experiences that could occur from this.

I know you're not responding further, but just to clear up some things:

Perhaps not you, but other members of your staff have made it clear that kill farming is allowed regardless of intent. Yes, some people do it for the K/D. If you read my original post, when I made a report after I first started playing I had video evidence of the players (in the chat) trapping my team with the clear intent to annoy us (directly in Cube's definition of trolling). Yet I was still told this was not punishable. And as you and I both mentioned, it's exploiting the game and not playing properly.

Yes, there is a /help command. But even with that, only regular players really seem to know about /leave. Though isn't even the root of the problem. If a new player is getting kill farmed, even if they know about /leave, they may think this is a part of the game or that they can somehow escape. So they'll be there a while getting killed regardless of knowing how to leave the game.

And finally, I made it clear in my response to Horizon that kill farming players and staff had nothing to do with getting the rules changed (that'd be pretty silly). The reason is simply because I enjoy trolling, and staff in particular give pretty good reactions.

Because it works it has to be a punishble feature. That's basically the logic that some people have.
