  • My suggestion is to always give the player something to do and a reward for doing it so they never get bored or lose motivation.
They should add a section in the sidebar that tells the player what they have to do to accomplish a “mission” (the mission sidebar should change depending on the game) when you finish it, you get a chat message and a reward and a new mission pops out in your sidebar.
All games should have it, even lobby games. And the rewards should actually be worth it. Like lots of points and experience depending on the difficulty.
With this increase in points income, cubecraft could raise up the prizes of kits and abilities. And even though players would know everything is now more expensive, they would feel better to receive bigger amounts of points as a reward.
Basically, always keep the player busy.

I believe this post deserves some more praise. More motivation equals more players, equals better server. Plus this simply sounds fun!

I’m trying to propose something more accesible, that doesn’t have an end, and that is constantly reminded to the player.
achievements

I do agree with this tho, I quit the server because there's nothing to do anymore. I got like 700 skywars wins in less than 3 months, and now I've gotten 15 in 2 months. I don't have anything to do tbh therefore I just quit it. I see and understand the idea of this thread but will they actually add it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Excuse me, aren’t achievements not kinda permanent missions?
Excuse me, don’t base your reply solely on the title.
These “permanent missions” are constantly reminded to the player and never end. Plus, they are easier to do, motivating the player more.
In many video games you constantly are receiveing missions, and goals to reach. What I am suggesting is the same mechanic but within the server.
Achievements are more like the “trophies” you’ve obtained.

So you want, permanent missions while there is daily missions and achievements? I find them the same as achievements, they’re endless because you just can’t get every achievement.

I know Wikipedia isn’t the most reliable source. But, here is an explanation so you understand:

“A quest, or mission, is a task in video games that a player-controlled character, party, or group of characters may complete in order to gain a reward. Quests are most commonly seen in role-playing games and massively multiplayer online games.[1][2] Rewards may include loot such as items or in-game currency, access to new level locations or areas, an increase in the character's experience in order to learn new skills and abilities, or any combination of the above.

Quests are typically marked by an exclamation mark and are usually grouped into one of four categories: kill quests, gather quests, delivery quests, and escort quests. However, quests can include more than one mission, such as gathering something and transporting it somewhere. Quests can be linked together to form quest series or chains. In this manner, quests are used to provide the player with further background to the setting their characters are in. This mechanism is also used to advance any story or plot the game might have.

Many types of quests are referred to as "sidequests". These are quests which deviate from the main plot and are not required to complete the game.”

Achievements could also be considered missions or quests. But not all of them. Take as an example the 10,000 wins Skywars achievement. This could be considered a mission yes, but it isn’t very simple to complete. So these kind of quests could be kept in the achievement menu as they are meaningful goals the player has reached.
On the other side, quests are like the “Mine 15 diamonds in one game” achievement. Because they are much easier to complete. Now, the purpose of this thread is to suggest a mechanic in which quests or missions of that nature are assigned to the player constantly. These missions would appear in the player’s side bar and they would change depending on the game the player is at. These quests, just like achievements, give the player an immediate reward upon being completed.
Basically, create a distinction between “achievements” and “missions”. Achievements would be seen in a menu as they are right now. While missions would be seen in your sidebar while playing the game. The player shouldn’t be able to consult what missions they have completed.
These missions should also be infinite. So the player never gets bored. Of course though, missions could get harder through time, but not too hard, so the player doesn’t give up. Infinite missions would take a lot of work but I’m sure it would be worth it. Look at popular games at the moment like Fortnite, you always have something to do. A challenge to complete, a quest to achieve.
Please don’t continue saying achievements are the same thing as quests. I think I’ve explained clearly. And if you still don’t understand or are too stubborn to agree, your vote and previous posts are enough.

Some are too easy, some are too hard, it must be lifetime. But it mustn’t be like an achiement or daily challenge. I still consider your suggestion as an achievement? For exampl, get 10k kills in skywars. That’s an achievement but that is kinda the same as your idea.
