First when I heard from my friend that Teaparty and Mushrooms were removed I thought that it was a joke, a serious one that I instantly thought that he's kidding with me. I wouldn't really imagine a situation why they would remove a map like that that's literally many people's favorite map of EggWars. (I started with Teaparty and really played countless times of it at the start)

After I though did some research, including the posts above, I realized that this is indeed a temporal thing. But then I'd ask for sure, for how long it is? - Pardon me if that's written on somewhere. I'm just simply too exhausted of these updates to search for them for long. The player count is only getting smaller, and I doubt the TeaParty and Mushrooms (Trees too) will fill any better if you add it back somewhere in the future; It's the opposite. They'll fill only slower if people keeps leaving. So you either keep these maps, or remove them permanently. - I'd like to see these maps exist.

However, dear managements; I bet you don't realize that maps like Mansion or Rome are really eating players. - Because they simply wants an easy way to increase their stats. It's broken. I'm saying this honestly; I've played THOUSANDS of games on those maps; Never seen a game where Rome and Mansion are played properly; Meant it'll take some time instead of a brutal rush. I know it may have looked nice on paper. But you can't control players to play your map like it was supposed to be, or in the way to avoid straight rush.

^
This is, why TeaParty and Mushrooms were enjoyable. You couldn't rush the other team that easily. + That map had really experienced players. - It gave a challenge EVERY time you went to Tea or Mushrooms, because most people there wanted for challenging, long games. > It was their meeting place where all the challenging people played against each others. This is how I see it as. You used these maps to practice your EggWars knowledge and experience.

Now, because TeaParty and Mushrooms are gone; The challenging people that were using their time on maps mentioned; These people are joining on games now, where people are playing that doesn't want the game to be a challenge at all. They simply wants to chill and enjoy the game. Including me. But sadly; Now you really can't play a game without some sort of Tryhard joining in and trashtalking you each time you succeed to die.

Shortly said, you people removed a map many people did enjoy; But kept more broken maps like Rome and Mansion in (Not even mentioning Nightmare), that should've been gone for a while instead.

I mainly think that when someone were planning to add this kind of update to remove the maps literally everyone on the staff team has been giving positive reputation on the person, without even pointing out their honest opinions because they're afraid of being in negative look in management's eye. Now, I'm not saying that the update was bad. Not really. But it raises just so many questions that what kind of logic were used due this getting implemented.

Instead of removing; Add something addicting. Since those seems to be the server's favorite mini-games currently; SkyWars and EggWars. They're played the most. Removing stuff that people liked are only getting them frustrated, in some cases to quit the whole server because the lack of motivation they get after heard they've lost thing they've been using their life on. (You could've btw just remove some teams from Tea and revamp it for smaller teams, TeaParty was an amazing map to do PvP on)

Please when you're working with a decision, or update; Ask the whole team's HONEST opinion, if you yet don't. And conversant about it with them since they're part of the people that keeps the server enjoyable and pleasant place to play on. (If it even is anymore)

I bet that people are resigning only because they feel like they're treated badly, or not given enough of compliments of their work, or not enough trust given. (Telling about the updates before telling the whole community example). It's really hard to keep your motivation on a server that you're working for free. I have experience of that.

So that's why my friend couldn't find it every single time. What a shame. Teaparty was my favorite team Eggwars map. But the reason behind it is a good reason, in my opinion. Same with the removal of the games. Sure, I wasn't all to happy about it, but I rather have a growing playerbase then a ton more maps and games that are always near empty.

The removal of these maps is not intended to be a permanent thing, it is part off the effort to ensure that games start quickly even during quiet times. Saying 'well it starts quickly whenever I played it' doesn't really paint a true picture, because yes, it may well start quickly when you play, but what about when you don't play? The reality is that for a good portion of the day we have between 350 and 1000 players on our Java networks. Split this between the 2 versions, then split it again between the active games and you end up with enough players to have 3-4 games running simultaneously. Throw a 40 player map into the mix and while it will start, it will most likely need to wait until every other game has finished before it gets to that point. This 5-10 minute delay is too long, perhaps not for you but for other (less vocal) players. We love these maps as well, I don't see them being gone for long.

Surely there are other temporary solutions though?
1) Reduce player maximum in teams from 5 to 4 or 3.
2) Reduce the number of teams

Yeah, but you do realize that teaparty wouldn't be teaparty anymore if you change those things. I love the map, because it's big with big teams. It's a shame it's gone now, but whatever. I rather have them try to get a growing playerbase on the server. And if that means one fun map has to go (for a while) then I'm all up for it.
