I definitely agree, although these games are only there for a couple of days so it doesn't really matter.

I think they might have been joined again because at some point during the stats revamp I think everyone lost their core wins. If you had a look at the core leaderboard as well the top player had 500 wins and there were people in the top page with less than 100. At the same time, CTF leaderboard has multiple players above 8000 wins. The two games are different, but not different enough. It takes basically the same thing to win on both modes and the only difference is that core games take longer. I'm not really sure.

Hi!

So it's interesting that you bring this up as we were discussing this only a few days ago.
While testing some new stuff out, I noticed that I had no BlockWars Core stats apart from the amount of Core damage that I did.
The reason for this was, as @Andyyy stated, is due to the fact that between the migration of our old system to our new system we can't magically create stats. The old system tracked "wins", but didn't specifically put it into a specific mode. The new stats system we are currently running is much smarter at this stat tracking, however when we migrated from the old system we had to put some of your wins somewhere (this was CTF). So what it means is basically all Core and CTF stats are in a way combined. We're not really ever able to split them because a year ago, we just didn't have the stat tracking to be able to log data correctly.

Hopefully that clarifies the situation that we're currently in. Just so that you're aware, we had lots of talks about this, because we also wanted the leaderboard/stats split up for each of the modes, but the stats just didn't look right when we displayed them by themselves so just added them up.

:)
